Um....test dummies for coasters don't have heads.

I've heard that stupid rumor for about 15 different coasters. I can't believe all the people that believe it!

The Lemon Chill Guy (tm) tells me the ride is having some serious problems right now, ala Dragster. I will try to get in touch with some of the rides people there this week to see if the Lemon Chill Guy (tm) was right!

...in other news got 2 great rides on Dragster today. Ran perfectly, however i did see them re-setting the ride at another time. So i guess there is hope for KK, but remeber CP did a lot to get TTD to where it is now, and it still doesnt work 100% i mean CP flew Intamin as soon as it became aparent they needed to be present

It was posted today on the Six Flags Great Adventure site that the ride is gonna be down for several weeks! I went to the park this past week and was really upset that it was closed, considering that is the primary reason i was going. I hope to go again, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to catch it when the damn thing is working. Also, apparently it wasn't the launch cable that snapped which is the problem TTD encountered earlier, but something that could be much tougher to fix. It is being said that alot of metal clanking noises were heard during the test launch which suggests either a problem with the brakes or with the launch track itself. Let's hope this all gets resolved soon.

*If* Gadv were my park.....half-price parking until Ka is fixed...

See, there IS stuff you can do to make the pain more bearable, these people coming in through the gates ARE called "guests" after all... ;)

As mentioned above... Don't expect a quick fix.

Dear Valued Guest:

Six Flags Great Adventure's Kingda Ka roller coaster is not currently in operation. We are "working" ( ;) ;) ) diligently to bring the ride back in operation as soon as possible. However, we do expect it will be closed for several weeks. And when it does open, expect frequent breakdowns.

We invite you to visit many of our other spectacular roller coasters with one train operation, or visit our slow food service.

;)

This thing eats all records--and occasionally, itself!

This thing eats all records- even itself

Hilarious! Especially since that's what it sounded like when it happened. I swear, it sounded like it crashed, but when I saw it stalled on the end of the launch, I knew it would take forever to fix. *** Edited 6/14/2005 4:55:03 PM UTC by TwinsGP*** *** Edited 6/14/2005 4:56:16 PM UTC by TwinsGP***

That entire train is destroyed as well as pieces of the track & break system; all of which need to be replaced by custom manufactured parts from Switzerland. Preliminary inside information tells me at least until Fright Fest. After everything is fixed, the ride needs to be inspected again, and re-tested all over.

It's true. And DAMN...while I didn't believe all the "Kinda Ka is reliable" crap spouted a month ago, I would have never imagined this!
