Ya I was a little jeasous, but who wants to see there homepark get sucker punched like that. The ride will be ausome, the name is gay but what r u gonna do.
Just give it a couple years and CP will over 500 ft and it won't matter anymore.

Hey, you gotta let us SFGADv fans enjoy our moment. CP has had several impressive record breakers over the years. The last time SFGAdv had a record breaker was Great American Scream Machine. It's about time it got another one. And it won't hold the record forever so let us enjoy it while it lasts !
I hope they don't go that high for some time. Its getting kind of old. I'd much rather see other types of coasters & records broken before height again...
Notice that distance does not factor into the equation. If the launch profiles are remotely proportional (obviously KdK scales up in the energy and down in the time) it won't matter if the acceleration is constant.

OK to be honest i am a fanboy. and i can't stand seeing cp loose another record, but it was bound to happen. I have to admit this ride looks sick. That flotter hill would be nasty with ttd lapbars. I don't think i would go to nj to ride it thought. Plus i don't really like yellow and red the blue and green look sickning. and i just got done reading all the posts from the initial kdk forms.Ya I was a little jeasous, but who wants to see there homepark get sucker punched like that. First of all, check your spelling, grammar and TOS. Second of all, watch your homophobia and your internet chat shorthand (again, TOS). Third of all, we're all a little Jesus.
And shouldn't you be happy that more big coasters are being built? Does this make CP a worse park, somehow?

Are you using "gay" as a put down? If so, you realize you're offending a lot of Coasterbuzzers, both gay and hetero, and that includes myself.
The name can be dumb. The name can be stupid. The name can suck. But to say the name is "gay" and mean dumb, stupid, or sucks is insulting.
At the risk of losing a potential customer, let me say this; GROW UP!

The length of the launch area can compensate too, if it is longer than TTDs... do we know if this is the case?
He's not trying to calculate the length of the launch track. He's trying to figure out if horsepower is affected by/dependant on/related to launch track length. Given the other variables, it's not.
And thanks for the remedial physics lesson. *** Edited 10/30/2004 4:46:20 AM UTC by ApolloAndy***

Tim....who wonders....could mforce aholic be CPNut? or his brother? uncle? cousin?....the possibilities are endless...
still trying to think of a good signature...
Also maybe the launch system is different. Everybody right away is saying that this sucks. All the coasters at sfgadv are pretty reliable. Most of the time are shut down for other reasons ,ie people throwing up on them.
Also if a ride is constantly breaking down. Its not the parks fault. Its the company's who built it. The parks mechanics can only fix the coasters and check them over. IF they do there job and the coaster still breaks down its not their fault.
I was actually thinking they might put in a dive machine.
