Ok, I guess we forgot to mention the important fact that this will be the second generation style of the Thrust Air and won't look like HSXLC. Next Word, one of SDC's policy is to leave as many trees standing as possible, so I think you have little to worry about. This coaster will be a good one - SDC only accepts the best.

But Moosh, you're only looking at things positively. Where's the fun in that?

Moosh-

You mean enthusiasts may not know every detail about a coaster before it had even been announced?! I didn't think that was possible...

SDC only accepts the best? Why are they getting rid of the fairly-new Buzzsaw Falls, then?

Who says they're getting rid of Buzzsaw Falls? It's being dismantled, but in such a way that it can be rebuilt. Perhaps it will end up somewhere else in the park or an another SDC property?

Wow put two and two together and you get five!
LOL, that's my guess too Word.

Doesn't everyone else think that BSF would be fun over at CC? ;) Stone Mountain needs something like BSF, but man I can hear the locals screaming already.

Why would they ever dismantle such a large attraction and move it within the park? That seems ridiculous. Perhaps they'll re-build it in another park (or sell it), but why would they rebuild the ride at Silver Dollar City?

If they've had problems with the ride like some people have indicated then I'd say it's unlikely they'll rebuild it at another one of their proprieties.

Visionland could use a new flume ride AND a new coaster. At least they'd be killing two birds with one stone.... ;)

Who is calling it an eyesore?
One man's eyesore is another man's treasure (execpt the aforementioned seats which surely everybody would agree are eyesores :) )
Would not surprise me if BSF ended up at Stone Mountain or someplace else.
What percentage of this and all the other forum/boards is folks talking about rides where not all the details are announced yet? Seems to me it happens all the time.

Hmmm Well I don't think I'm going to start making judgements on this ride till its announced in June. I am sure SDC has thought about the overall beauty of the ride and will take care of that. We KNOW it will be themed well, that isn't even a question so as long as its a good ride honestly who cares?! Besides at least SDC is doing something! Its not like we have had much excitment from any of the other parks in this state! *** Edited 4/22/2004 10:07:25 PM UTC by Wildfire01***

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!

I seriously doubt Stone Mountain will ever get a coaster, or any thrill ride. Atlanta was not happy when SDC tried to build the Fire in the Hole themed to the Civil War locomotive chase incident.

I don't think BSF would go to Dollywood either since we've already got Daredevil Falls, and while it is not a water coaster, the two rides are very similar.

If it went anywhere, I'd say CC, though it seems kind of odd to move it from one side of town to the other. (Then, HFE could just sell it like they've done with several other used rides like Thunder Express & Dollywood's old flats from the 80s)

I'm sure it won't sit and rott. :)

The Powderkeg seems like a very exciting ride concept. Certainly worthy of an SDC park!

You know, reading through the e-mail, it never once mentions anything about a 'roller coaster'..... It just says thrill ride.

No, but it is discriptive of an option that was a coaster in the poll.

Yes, I guess that would be correct. I get too over-analitical if that's a word.
