Euclid Beach/Shady Lake Flat Rides
Sure, I can tell you! Its glad to see someone who knows that Shady Lake actually existed.
When Shady closed, most of the rides were sold to Old Indiana where they operated in really poor shape for several years. The miniature train (the sleepy hollow one) came off its track and killed an old woman and paralized her granddaughter. that was the indeed end Of Old Indiana.
Most of the rides were auctioned off.
The Eli wheel went to Americana, and the giant wheel went to Six Flags Geauga Lake
The giant wheel, for example, was so badly taken care of, Geauga re-built a new motor thus giving it serial Number: GL01.
The rides were in bad shape. Fun Spot bought the troikia and bayern Curve and to this day the troikia has run bad, and the bayern curve has been sitting in pieces.
Shady had a wild mouse, and i have no clue where it went.
When Premier parks bought the Old Indiana site, they didn't buy the lawsuit that closed it. So, when Six Flags decideds to re-build the park, you are going to see all new rides and some old favorites from Opryland. But nothing from the origanal Euclid Beach or Shady Lake

Remember, Old Indiana was auctioned. So by the time Premier bought it, there wasn't much left. The Giant Wheel and Himalaya were not from Shady Lake. Did Fun Spot ever get the Troika working? That also did not come from Shady Lake. In fact, I question how much Shady Lake stuff actually made it to Old Indiana. I know the Flying Scooter and the Turnpike Cars and the miniature train would have, but the Turbo came from Maple Leaf Village and the Wildcat apparently came from La Ronde, the Troika and Pirat came from a European carnival....
Anyway, the two parks that seemed to pick up the most stuff from Old Indiana are Fun Spot, which got the Troika and the Bayern Kurve, and Conneaut Lake, which got the Turbo, Round-Up, and Ranger.

Here's a list of all the rides that I remember being at Shady Lake. Where they went is beyond me.
A portable Paratrooper, non-hydraulic model. I believe this was by Dartron.
A steel Wild Mouse coaster. Not sure who made it, but it had those "Wild Mouse" entrances like the one Cedar Point had many years ago.
An Eli Scrambler from Euclid Beach.
The Flying Scooters from Euclid Beach by Bisch-Rocco (sp?)
Coffee Break cuddle-up teacup ride. Not sure of manufacturer.
Dodgem from Euclid Beach. I believe these were Lusse skooter cars as they were the old, heavy models. One-way driving was also an enforced rule.
Rotor from Euclid Beach. Not sure of manufacturer, but this was one of the giant arena Rotor models.
Turnpike Cars from Euclid Beach by Arrow.
Sleepy Hollow Railroad from Euclid Beach.
Plus, several children's rides including a kiddie whip, a children's rocket ship ride, and a cute "cowboy" themed wagon ride. I think when it was at the Beach there were little guns attached to the wagons and a figure mounted atop the ride that you could shoot at.
There was also a mini-golf course from Euclid Beach, a food stand which sold popcorn, popcorn balls, candy kisses, and the very good Frozen Whip soft ice cream, and the very nostalgic Game Room. This was classic gamers heaven as there were old skee-ball machines, old crane games, pinball-style baseball and golf games, fortune telling machines, and electronic bowling machines. I wonder where all the games went. They were certainly a blast from the past.
And I really wish Conneaut Lake would install the Turbo. That is one ride I have never seen in action as I just missed it at Maple Leaf Village.

I'd like to know more about that coaster, because even though I don't remember much about it, I do remember that it was my first. I also seem to recall that sitting in the car with my mother bobsled-style, that I mostly couldn't see out of the car.

I believe you are referring to EB's Flying Turns.
This was the same type of coaster that was at the NY World's Fair in the 30's and also at Chicago's Riverview. It was really a great ride.

Jeff, that Mouse was most likely a Herschell Mad Mouse or Monster Mouse. Rumor has it that it got moved to Old Indiana, but by the time I went there the first time, it was gone. If it was a Herschell, then it would be similar to the one at Lakemont Park.

To further along the genealogy of these rides, the turnpike ride that went to Old Indiana is now operating at Idlewild Park, Kennywood's sister park in Latrobe. They also own, but have not erected, a Log Flume ride from Old Indiana, but I think that it originated there, and not from another now defunct park.
Dave, I hate to question your knowledge because you have helped us all out a great deal, but I am almost 100% positive that the Wild Mouse at Shady Lake was NOT similar to the one at Lakemont. This one was virtually identical to the one found at Conneaut Lake and as Jeff pointed out, had "bobsled-style" seating. I recall the ride having blue track with yellow supports, and "Wild Mouse" archway entrances. It looked like a portable ride. The Mad Mouse at Lakemont has side-by-side seating I believe.

Jackie is right... it was yellow and blue, as it can be seen in the blurry background of the only photograph my mother has of that day. Sadly, I can't see anything more detailed about it.
The funny thing about the Rotor is that I had no idea what it was. All I remember was that there was what appeared to be a large structure with people standing about the top of it looking down. It wasn't until a few years later at The Park Formerly Known as Geauga Lake that I found out what was actually going on in a Rotor!
