I was also recently in an accident, though not near as bad as yours sounds. I pulled a ligament in my neck, and that's about it. However, I can't ride coasters anytime soon either. Hang in there!

I think you spelled everything just about right. Your description sounds like your average hour of "Life in the E.R." on TLC. I used to watch that show every Tuesday, but gave it up until I caught an episode the other night. It reminded me why I don't watch the show anymore. It sounds like you have a road of recovery ahead of you, but I'm not a doctor, and I don't play one on T.V. (that's a reference for us old farts). Best of luck to you.

...the real question is did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

I hope you make a full recovery. I was in a bad car accident in July. I suffered neck and back injuries and I do not know if I will ever be allowed to ride coasters again.

Wow. Sounds a lot like the accident I was in in 1994 - many of the same injuries (punctured lung, broken ribs) plus a broken wrist and collarbone, and 8 days in the hospital. And, that caused me to miss Grad Night at PKI, and a Smashing Pumpkins concert. :(

However, the good news is, since I wasn't driving, the insurance settlement paid for my college and more! Plus I've got a cool deformed collarbone that's fun to show off. So here's hoping that there's good hidden in this bad situation! :)

Like the rest above... Get well soon...

You can kinda look on the bright side (if there is even one to this) in that you are missing the tail end of the coaster season at Great America. Hope you have a speedy recovery and get your bottom out of that hospital soon.

Not much to add. Hope you feel better.

At least it didn't happen during mid-season, right?

(Trying to look on the bright side).

Hope you get better soon dude. Perhaps you can speed your recovery by avoiding most Arrow loopers and Summers/Dinn creations. Oh, and SLCs are a bad idea altogether. :)

Please get better. Take care of yourself, and you will pull through it. Like already said it does not matter if your post is not coaster related. We still are a community. Get better, and it may take time, but you will get through this. My brother in law had some similar injured, and some far worse because he was hit by a van going at an estimated speed of over 50MPH! They expected him to die, but he pulled through after years of therapy, and support for all of the people in his life. He now walks when they told him he would never.
