Actually, it isn't that hard at all. The cars were originally designed to have the last row be the way it is now. The theming of the cars was added later. So to go from the themed cars, to the way they are now was just a matter of making the cars the way they were designed to be. Now to change it back to a safer way, I can't see that happening. However, when I was there earlier in August, they were not even filling the last two rows to prevent rollbacks. So maybe they want it to look like the train isn't only filled 3/4 the way.

Half a dozen people called and they said there was no such scheduled downtime.

That makes CedarPoint_TTD CoasterBuzz Tool of the Month and attention whore.

Besides, why would you close it just so you can stop operating during the week? The park goes to weekends only right after that.

Anyway, I'm kind of glad TTD is having problems, **ducks** this way the new HP ride should have most of the kinks worked out. ;)

I am not saying I am screwed with my CP trip on Tuesday, I am saying I'm screwed about getting a ride on TTD. I have been there enough times this year to enjoy the park, I just want the one trip where I get to ride the new coaster. Whether or not this coaster is open determines if my family visits on Sunday or Tuesday. Can someone that knows anything please let us all know if this is BS, or if it is totally legit information. Thanks.

I bet you'll get a ride. The original info here is highly false, it would seem.

I can't see it being true either. That is the last strong week of the year attendance wise. Another thing about the nylon, look at the end of the launch and the one white piece of track is black because of it. I do believe that part.

Thank the maker. I already have reservations for the 23rd, 24th at the Breakers express. I would have been really upset to get screwed twice in one year. (TTD closed last time I was there)

"How was your ride?"

I was there yesterday and did manage to get two rides on it, although the first half of the day it kept breaking down on and off. It was obvious that they were having problems with the launch. It seemed that two or three trains would go then it would be down another 30 minutes. It does get very frustrating.

By the end of the day it seemed to be running rather consistently though. :-)

I did not see any signs of extended downtime, although my friend and I said it would be a good idea if they would just shut it down for a while instead of beating a dead horse. I mean, it's either **** or get off the pot you know?

I would much rather having it down for a week and a half and have it running great for Halloweekends than having it break down all day long.

I couldn't help but notice how many people are going to be there next week. I'll be there the 18th - 20th. Maybe we should have a mini-CB group thing.
