Do you think they will keep the nylon, and have the wheels rest on it, or just get rid of the nylon all together?

Now tell me Cedar Point is running out of space.

If given the choice I'd choose a hamburger over a hotdog anyday of the week.
Anyway, though Cedar Point's nowhere in my near future, I've learned a lesson. I think I've learned not to rush out to Hershey, a park closer to me, to try out their new toy.

It should be ok, they're using TTD as a test-bed for it. ;)MAnderson said:

It sucks that TTD will be down when you (or anyone) goes, but if you let it ruin your visit, it's your own fault yo.

For me I don't really care anymore add another week to its downtime. Maybe that means this fall it will work with zero downtime. The only thing I like about TTD is when its running most the other lines are considerable shorter.

I'm not as upset about not getting to ride TTD as I am about it making the lines for the other coasters 3 times as long.
If we assume that the line is 4 hours (240 minutes), let's divide that by 15 rides. That's roughly 16 added minutes in line, just looking at coasters. Not a big deal, man.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I just got off the phone with the park information line. They haven't heard of this, supposedly.

And Hershey's won't be pushing things nearly as hard -- it'll be more akin to Knott's XCellerator, which is working pretty reliably nowadays.

I finally was able to talk my parents into getting to the park during the last week of August and I have been looking forward to riding TTD. Now I know the history of TTD and that it is not working half the time, so i've been preparing myself for the fact that I may not get to ride it. But for it to be down for something like this, which to me can wait until the off season, just disappoints me greatly. And you can save the whole speil about Cedar Point having other great roller coasters because I am well aware of this and I greatly look forward to them, it would just be nice to ride TTD that's all. Heck, I'd probobly even be satisfied if I just got to see a test launch!

Roller coasters are more than just rides, they're my reason for being!
Our family vacation is to go to CP again, and the day it is first closed, August 18, is the day we are going to be there, go figure.
Anyone else who has more info on this please post.

If they have indeed announced those dates, I wonder why they're not on the website?
