I think that Millennium Force is the most visually stunning coaster anywhere. It just looks so gracefull( ha thats a good one). The first drop just couldn't be shaped any better to give you that ultimate feeling. ITs just georgeous. Most of CP's coasters are like this, they do well.

Loch Ness Monster, hands down. interlocking loops over a river, between two wooded hillsides. very pretty.

Volcano: The Blast Coaster also looks incredible, especially when they shoot the fire out of the top of the mountain.

Joker's Jinx is pretty awesome too, an impossible spaghetti bowl of track.

Steel: Talon, Dorney Park. The colors make it look brand new and they are pretty cool.
Apollo's Chariot, Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The colors also make it look nice and the purple track and yellow supports are nice colors that beautifully go great with each other.

Wood:Colossus, Six Flags Magic Mountain. Probably the best looking wooden coaster in the world. Its huge and the lights at night even make it cooler!

Woah....I can't believe you guys haven't mentioned Six Flags Holland's Goliath! I feel it is the most visually stunning coaster! See here:

I'd have to say the Rattler at SFOT or Mean Streak for the wood coasters. As for steal, I think Alphengiest is pretty nice as well as Vortex. May not pack punch but where you can stand and veiw vortex at PKI is pretty neat.

Of course MF and TTD, Mean Streak is impressive to bad the ride isn't. Well heck I'd say Cedar Point in general. I also like the coasters that lurk in the woods and are almost non-visible until you ride them.

White Cyclone looks like a toothpick model of a coaster. Especially in this pic. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1174.htm?Picture=3

But yeah, I agree that Goliath at SFH looks incredible. I love the layout, color, and location.

Ok, I'm biased, but two candidates from Alton Towers: Nemesis and Oblivion. Neither of them are particularly "works of art" like the georgeous White Cyclone, but they are stunning, as the response from first time viewers will attest to:

Brief moment of stunned silence followed by

"No way!!!" :-)

Check out the way Nemesis interacts so perfectly with the terrain.

And just look at the way that the design of Oblivion has been devised to intimidate!

I just recently viewed pics of Gardaland's Escape from Alantis water coaster and it has to be hands down the best theming and best coaster i've seen in a while.

Your Park only has 1 good coaster! That's too bad!

I'm going to have to agree with Ben G. that SFH's Goliath is a beautiful ride, especially at night. I'll also have to say that MF and SFNE's S:ROS look pretty sharp.

Wow, like Deja Vu! (Not the coaster, either) Why did you revive a 5 month old topic? Plus 1/2 the coasters mentioned this week have already been mentioned before. Sheesh.

Whenever you can ride a roller coaster and experience 15 spots of intense airtime, you know you're on a good coaster. (see: Phoenix)
