Visually Stunning Coasters?

I just thought I would start a post that is positive despite the war and going on's in the world right now.

I think the most impressive coaster i have seen ever has to be Stunt Fall@ WBMW in Spain. I never thought i would say that about a vekoma but if you do a search on RCDB you would see exactly what I 'am talking about.

I would like to know everyone's opinion on this.

As dated as it is.. I still have to say Corkscrew at Cedar Point. Yes there have been alot since then but this was groundbreaking and still allows for some of the best possible pictures of any coaster.

I checked out the Stunt Fall pics. Nice colors, but not my idea of visually stunning. But we all have aesthetic tastes and I tend to find wood coasters more pleasing to the eye than steel.

Why do I have this feeling I've seen Stunt Fall somewhere before??? I liked the colors, too, much better than Deja Vu (I'm a poet). It does look awesome against the sky in one pic.

Anyway...

The Boss (SFStL) is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like it's just growing out of the forest. And all those curves...

Mean Streak

It may be a "less than great" ride, but it is still one of the most visually impressive structures at any park. I love taking a first timer to the point and heading around to the resorts just to see their face when we go by Mean Streak.

mmmmmm, curves....:). I'm going to have to go with wood as well....even though it means agreeing with Moosh. LR, Gwazi, and Knoebel's Twister would probably share my top honors, although by movie footage and pics alone, I'd have to say that I'll add another "stunning" ride come August...

I would say GASM at SFOG, but BEFORE Ninja dirtied the panorama up. I really want to express my displeasure to for the placement of that ride... ruined a nice view. If you look at old pictures of GASM in the early 70s through the late 80s, it was gorgeous, especially at night.

Even Z-Force didn't intrude too much. Actually, Z-Force was impressive in and of itself, towering over you in Lickskillet.

Disagreed about stunt fall. Nice pics, but nothing that big.

I agree with Rob, Corkscrew still remains on the top for impact. Visual overload for steel is probably SD2K. Wood, probably White Cyclone with it's Japanese wooden density. Ghostrider has a nice dense build too, but just not as massive as WC.

3. Driving on Interstate 80 over the hill in Vallejo, CA, and seeing Medusa, V2, and Roar over the horizon.

2. Driving for hours in the hot desert, and like a mirage, you see Desperado, like a phoenix rising out of the ashes.

1. Driving over the grapevine, and looking to your right is the unmistakable sight of Goliath, Colossus, and now, Scream!

Sorry, they are all west coasters, but I am biased. =)

Steel Dragon and White Cyclone. Easy.

There are a few others that are fun to watch such as Oblivion or Hypersonic (and I'm sure Dragster when it opens).

Ha, Peabody is too fast. ;)

Kraken, Superman: Ultimate Flight, Apollo's Chariot, Millennium Force, X, X-Flight, Superman - Ride Of Steel, Mindbender, Ninja (SFOG), Joker's Jinx, Face/Off, Chang, Medusa.

When it was still standing, Shockwave at SFGAm. When you'd first drive into the park, the angle was amazing. It just looked like a mess of tangled steel. It's still a mess of tangled steel... just a less vertical mess.

Shivering Timbers is quite impressive. It just seems to go on forever and it is just so wide when you see it from the end. Quite a park entrance!
