Visually Stunning Coasters?

Also Mantis. It looked nice to see a big coaster in a small every.
My votes go out to Nemesis (even though I've never actually seen it) and Montu (with all its Busch brothers and sisters close behind).

I must be the only one in the world who thinks X and SD2K look like someone dropped a scrapyard in the middle of an open spot of land and stuck a sign in the top of it calling it a coaster. I can't stand the way either of those two look.

I think Ghostrider at Knott's has to be one of the best at night. I love the way they made it so dark. All you see (the last I was there) is a orange glow and shadow. And you here rumbling and screams. The image fits perfectly with the name.
How about tweaking this topic a little and deciding which coasters are visually stunning coasters at night? My vote MF, Mean Streak, Nessie, Big Thunder Mountain, Hulk, Im sure there are more I just cant think of any more.

I don't care what anyone says, Magnum is better then Millenium Force.

I'm sure your not the only one. But with X it's not about the lot that surrounds it, but the total placement of the coaster. Diving up to SFMM, it's *RIGHT THERE*, the first thing you see, in all it's glory. It's so stunning, I've seen people nearly veer off the road just looking at it. ;)

People complain about clones, yet can't even come up with original conversation, which is ten times worse.

You can almost smell the wood in this pic.

I'm also in agreement with Nemesis, especially this pic.

I couldn't believe V:TBC was actually real after seeing this pic.

Gotta love the colors on this one in this pic.

Boulder Dash is another stunning visual, IMO - here and here.

I would've said Boudler Dash is one of the most visually un-stunning coaster out there. Mostly because you can't see it at all (during the fall anyway) from pretty much anywhere. The ride experience on the other hand...

Let's not even get into the un-stunning coasters Apollo... I think I can name a few "beauties" off hand. ;)

MarimbaGuy87, thinking of a few "parking lot" rides. :)

Any coaster in the CP skyline when driving on the causeway.

I think Rampage is visually stunning when you first enter Visionland, as it really stands out in the back of the park.

Steel Eel at SWSA was another that I thought was visually stunning it was foggy on the day I went and all of a sudden you see this yellow lift hill rising to the sky.

I have to say Zonga is looking to be one of the best looking coasters ever constructed. I mean look at it! I think that Alpengeist is amazing to see.
While on the subject of SFMW - what in the heck is that black woody behind Zonga construction? I've searched everywhere and can't find a single thing about it. On rcdb, it says SFMW has only one wooden coaster - Roar. Anyone know what this black woody is?

Here are the pics:

The ride looks like Roar until you see this pic - the ride is clearly black:

That is Roar, just it has grown a grey tone. It had also been raining that day so the wood had a really dark grey look to it. If you want to see what I mean about the wood color change, take a look at this:

Now in 2003:

Glad to see Cali's polution at work only 4 years for a coaster to become that grey, wow.

I'm not sure why the wood on Roar has aged so much (at least from looks) when it and GhostRider are made of the same type of wood and GR still looks pretty cool. I know they both get massive retrackings fairly often.

Putting this a little back on topic, isn't Roar just a work of art as well? It really is soming to behold.

Old School Favorites include.. Gemini before CP plopped flats/Kiddie rides in front of it. Magnum before CP expanded the water park (it had a terrain feel to it before). Beast looks Mysterious especially form the Eifel Tower because all you could see is the two lift hills with a forest around it. Any Coaster at BGW. New favorites...TTD, X it looks alien with it's hugh track and all that twisted metal..Can we talk about that lift hill? Ghost Rider It just looks cool

Fisrt off that Nitro pictures is amazing. Now then,

I'm going to go with ones I've seen up close only. X. You really never realize how big the track is until you're driving up the parkway. Ghostrider. I live just to see this coaster glow on Beach Blvd. Montu. The Immelman alone is stunning.

Call Me crazy, but I really like the purple and yellow on X. It's unusual, but it's a good mix to me.

A story is 10 feet. 10 stories is 100 feet.....................Top Thrill Dragster is 42 stories.

The Great Bear is awesome just to look at, especially the first drop in this picture.

And good old Drachen Fire... the twisting, blue steel mass is stunning.

No competition at all...Ozark Wildcat all the way.
