He's kidding... That was all the speculation before the ride opened.
From the Cleveland.com live video cam (more like time-lapse photo at this bitrate) it looks like TTD has made a lot of successful trips recently, and is, in fact, VERY open.
I would go so far as to say extremely open.
But then again, it may just be a lot of testing w/o peeps.

I'm very glad to hear its working though, now I'm hoping it can operate till the end of the season when I visit the park again hopefully to take a few rides on it :)
