BTW...the letter changed AFTER 9:30 am (CP time) this morning. I'd checked at that time and it still said Dragster was up.

Just got back from the park, and Dragster is closed for the day.

Oh I know its the same note thats been up for a long long time!
This is odd. Look at this pic. All the trains are on the track. Could it just be down due to the horrendous storms that are beating down on the Sandusky area?

They were going to open acouple hours late today, but then alittle after 10 they made an announcement that the ride wouldn't be opening for the day. I was thinking that there may have been a problem with the typhoon-ish weather that Ohio got hit with lastnight, but from what the CP folks were saying it wasn't.

My phsycic abilities tell me that the ride will be open tomarrow, and that maintenance just forgot to give the ride its daily dose of prozac lastnight.

Just checked the TTD status. It is back up for today.
Phantom, you must have better eyes than me, I can't see a single train in that pic, it's too dark.

Thanks for the reply Coasterguy.
They do? I thought they were starting Freeway for it next year. I remember reading that somewhere. Can anyone back me up? Did they open Freeway for TTD over the 4th of July weekend?

freeway wasn't open sunday, and I doubt it was open the rest of the weekend

You are right Draegs...Freeway is NOT being offered on Dragster but, there is a stand outside of the enterance for Freeway. I was at CP on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and the only day it was running was Wednesday. Luckily it was running ALL day long with a steady 2 hour wait throughout the day. Around noon myself and 3 others decided to wait it out. After 3.5 hours, 3 breakdowns, and 1 rollback we was on and IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!
If you guys think the ride is good... you HAVE to wait for the front... to tell you the truth I was very dissapointed with my first ride, but the second ride in the front put my dissapoitment asside... absolutly amazing. It's worth the extra wait.... just trust me... just make sure it doesn't break down first!

The ride indeed was open Saturday, they just knew it wouldn't open in the morning. The good news is that the problem that closed the ride all day Friday was not related to the motor, which has been working pretty reliably.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Personally I would imagine all of the hype regarding TTD's downtime has significantly hurt Cedar Point's attendance (or at least their projected attendance given a near perfect performance record). I base this on personal experience only - many of my coworkers are still under the assumption that the ride is closed.

I think the only thing that has hurt their attendance has been the weather. Up until the last week or two it has really sucked around here. My SAD is coming back in the middle of June!

Saturday was easily a 30,000+ day for them, cars to the toll booths.
