Deja Vu at SFGAm

Has anyone heard from any Six Flags Great America workers what the state of Deja Vu is right now?

Well as far as I know it will be just like last year. They haven't done anything new to it in the off season.

There is currently a crane by the ride. Probably vallied during testing,

Well truthfully for any one who has ever gotten the chance to ride Deja Vu its one hell of a ride , but Vekoma has to fix the probelm with this ride , do you think maybe the seating has anything to do with the vallying?

Drove by the park this last Friday night and I saw no crane next to Deja-Vu.

No the train has nothing to do with the train valleying all the time. Actually Deja Vu should never valley except between the loop and the second lift. If it valleys in the cobra roll or between the cobra roll and the loop it was the computer's fault. I think Deja Vu needs a better computer system to control the brakes that are installed all over the ride. The ride is set up with brakes and sensors to stop the train if it doesn't have enough speed to go through the loop and the cobra roll which would prevent the coaster from valleying. Its no big deal if the train valleys between loop and the second lift because they can roll the train onto the lift cart and pull the train up the second lift like normal. Hopefully it doesn't valley this year like last year. Last year it did almost every day though which is good.

The crane could of been there to install the train on the track or for preseason track inspection.

i dont see how it could valley in testing if there is no train to be seen anywhere....

gonna be hard to test that invisible train, methinks...

How do you know if there wasn't a train on the track? Were you at the park to see into the station?

If the train did valley they wouldn't take it off the track. Have they ever done it before? No.

Yes they would. When a train valleys (say inbetween the loop and cobra roll) how do you think they get it back to the station?

I heard from some friends who were at the park on saturday april 26th for a private buy out that Deja Vu wasn't open and that they could not see a train on the track. but they are not coaster entusiasts so who knows.

According to someone who works at the park The Ride Op's for Deja Vu have not been trained yet. It appears Deja Vu is not yet ready for the 2003 season.

They don't take the train off the track when it vallies.

Yes they do.

Not when I was there. It vallied betwen the second tower and the loop. A mechanic came and hooked up a chain from the tower to the train and pulled the train up to acertain point till the pullie pulled it up by it self up the tower.

That's because it's designed to valley there. If it valleys between the loop and the cobra roll, the train needs to be removed from the track.

so it doesn't allways need to be removed, just some times.

and as of right now Deja Vu is just siting there, enjoying it's last few days of peace and quiet before the park opens for the season.

They don't take the train off the track to do to the placement of the train.
