My soon-to-be ex always wanted to go to SRM, even though she isn't an enthusiast by any means. She saw the park and thought it looked fantastic. She also had a great time at Solace last year, and she only rode a few times. These events aren't just about riding coasters. They are about making friends, hanging out and generally having a great time doing what we love to do. Convince her to join you, she'll have a ball. And if not, you can buy her a diamond ring to make up for it... ;)

By the way, I'll be at my first SRM this year with some friends of mine. Why don't you stop and say hello if you see me? I'm always up for meeting friendly people! :)

Funny... I hadn't even seen this thread yet, and yet my "geek" detector went off a few times today warning me of my name being used in vain. ;) Since you all can't wait to see me, I guess I need to buy my plane tix asap, eh? Think BWI sounds good, and Peabody and I can share expenses....just no sharing the same bed. :) Don't worry Jeff.... I may stay at that hotel, but not in your room... not unless invited, I might add. Doubt that'll happen since I suxor at DDR. Can't wait to see, and/or meet all you fools. BTW, you can hang with me, TD... you won't ever forget your trip, I will tell you that. :)

SFgadvMAN- if you drive into Dale and take the highway to Santa Claus [instead of getting back on I-64] you'll find some nice rolling hills that, taken at the right [safe] speed produce enough negative-Gs for a thrill.

'Moosh, at least you have good hills and mountains to drive on....I'm a poor li'l out *flatlander*...takes houirs for me to find good airtime in the car...;)

*Everyone* at SRM is having a great time hanging out and talking, drinking (free!) soft drinks, and even riding. There's coasters, flats, Lake Rudolph, the woods, the *amazing* atmosphere, and the owners (and PR rep) are ON-SITE wanting to talk with enthusiasts and get our perspective on where to go in the future....that's how they stay AHEAD of the curve. Amazing how friendliness NEVER goes out of style, even in this day and age.

We'll be back again this year, and every year, barring disasters like another untilmely wedding or something...;). As much as it's a park-sponsored *coaster* event, it's WAY more a family get-together of coaster "addicts" and their friends, families, and *sponsors*. There are NO strangers there, and I can safely say that since there's NOBODY there "stranger" than me...:)
