"Look, we all go way back, and uh, I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place and I'll never forget it." "That was our pleasure." "I'd never been to Belize."
I am more inclined to believe that if the coaster does indeed come from another SF park... it would most likely be the former Viper from SFOG. I certainly hope so. I doubt the land could fit Shockwave, nor would I want it to ;-)

Maybe they will give Viper a new name new paint and people will think its a new coaster. Whats the difference?
Shockwave is 15 years old, Viper is over 20.
They are both old.
-Brent (who really doesn't care one way on another, both will be a nice addition)

As one of the people responsible for starting and perpetuating the Shockwave joke I, too, was surprised just how many people believed it. Heck...a webmaster of another popular coaster website actually posted in his rumors page that "Sources say Shockwave is headed to SFAW." Ain't that a Scream[scape]?
Moosh - glad Jeff thought it was funny ;-)

Coaster & Amusement Park Christmas Cards and Merchandise...coming soon! Details in new sig any day now!
Oh Viper, that is a possibility. I'm just glad they are getting something. The park is lacking a sit down looping coaster. Either would make a great addition to me.
This ride needs a good state name. Indiana Beach has "Hoosier Hurricane", Michigan has "Wolverine Wildcat", they could call this coaster "The Hollerin' Hillbilly".

You know Moosh,
I will readily admit to reading Screamscape... it can be quite entertaining. However it grates my nerves how once "word" is out about something it ends up getting posted on Screamscape as to make it seem "they" knew it all along.
Currently Lance has a statement under SFKK's header saying something about possible flat rides and "they will probably get something new." (There's a stretch... a new flavored icee could be considered a new attraction!) But, now that "word" is spreading around about sighted markings we may soon see something on Screamscape along the lines of "As I have been reporting, SFKK will be adding a yet undisclosed coaster for 2003." Sheesh.
As for these markings, I will be on the fairgrounds tomorrow (totally unrelated to SFKK... I am not a footer chaser) but it will require I drive right by the area in question. I'll look for them as I pass. If time permits I may drop into the park to have a looksee.... ugggh.
I still claim it rumor only until I see track arrive. I totally trust my source.... but seeing is believing.
