Well, after reading all of the above, I had to add my most ridden coaster to this thread.
2 summers ago (1999) I went out to SFGAm on a Saturday early in the season. The weather was nice, and the park was DEAD.
I rode the American Eagle all day long. Park open ed at 10 am, and closed at 8 PM. In total, I got in 67 rides. Of those, 2 of them were on the blue side, the rest we on the red side.
And to go with what others have said, SFGAm has a great re-ride policy. If the row you are in has no body in it, and the station is not full (I've seen it when the row has been empty, but a full station, so they try to get other people in the row) then you normally can ride again. By the way, it does help to be nice and polite to the ride ops, since they don't have to allow you to re-ride. :-) That day alone, I think I only had to get off and walk around 3 or 4 times. The rest I either stayed in the same seat, or switched seats. By the end of the day, the employee's did not care as long as I did not take a seat away from someone that was in line. They were all really cool about it.
In fact, that year alone I would have to say I got well over 300 rides on Eagle, since most of the days I came out to the park (41 visits that year) I just rode Eagle. Sure, I rode the other rides and coasters to, but I would say that about 70% of the days I went in 1999 I rode the Eagle, and only the Eagle.
Needless to say, I got to know the crew that year very well, and they got to know me. In fact, they started calling me "Eagle Man", since I was up there so much. Then there was the one day that one of the ride ops gave me his ride certification badge, and said "Here. You are up here so much, you run the ride for awhile". He was kidding of course, but it would have been cool!
Some of you may think I'm nuts, but hey....if you find something you like, you go with it!
:-)
