States lacking in parks/coasters

What state do you guys think needs more parks or more rides? Not just states, but also parks. Personally I think Florida could use a few more parks with some good quality rides. Maybe another SF park, or even a paramount park. It'd be good to be able to go there and ride some great rides without them being in the universal studios or walt disney chain. Also, BGW needs a few more RC's, they are already such a great park, a B&M or a couple a Intamins would be nice. :)

I always thought Wisconsin could use some more coasters. Of course, living in Wisconsin, I naturally think that. It's not so bad though. We have some great CCI's and SFGAm is right next door.

You forgot Wyoming rentzy! I think Rhode Island is so tiny that it really doesn't need one seeing as no matter where you are in Rhode Island, you're close to a state with coasters! Wisconsin could use a quality park that doesn't put up "Ride at your own risk" signs (BCKC). I think Little A-merrick-a may become a nice park to go spend a few hours at if they do put up a wood coaster and if that wood coaster is airtime filled!

Don't even say Florida! You're, like, the B&M capital of the world or something! And you've got IOA, SWO, and BGT! Three great parks with great coasters! If you want a state without coasters, come to my state: 'Zona. We have three, two are kiddy coasters! Here's the worst part: I still haven't ridden any of them. But I will soon!

In actuality though, that would be a good place for a park. There would be unlimited space and if the park was good, it would bring the surrounding area a TON of money.

What about Texas? If you compare the radius of how close the coasters are to each other it's pretty bare. ;) But in all seriousness. UTAH.

West Virginia only has one small family park with only 2 coasters. I have always thought that the state would greatly benefit from a nice large park somewhere in the App. mountians.

Oregon is definitely lacking in parks and coasters. We have a few parks and coasters but nothing you can't ride at your local county fair.We could use some world class rides here.

Lets' save the Vancouver PNE Coaster before its'too late!

At one time West (by God) Virginia had several good sized parks. The population just didn't support them. The last larger sized park that closed was Rock Springs in Chester,WV in the 1970's.

We have four here in Alabama, 2 kiddies and 2 wooden. Two of those are SBNO for now, but hopefully that will change soon. I think a small park with 2 or 3 coasters would really work well up here in Huntsville. Too bad I don't have a couple hundred mil' lying around.

Well...as stated above, the main reason is the lack of support from the population. Wyoming has very few people per square mile, on average, and parks are very expensive. Take Washington State for example. We are just now, finally, getting something going up here. The Portland, Oregon area could stand some sprucing up of Oaks, and/or adding another park on the I-5 corridor (think Jantzen Beach, Ron!....oh, what irony) near the border of Washington. The central states, i.e. the Dakotas et al. are never going to see huge population jumps, and they aren't really great tourist destinations, regardless of their inherent beauty. ...AND who the heck actually thinks Florida NEEDS more parks. C'mon, man.....;) (Stay out of this, Bill!)

South Dakota might be able to support a small park in the Rapid City/Mt. Rushmore area. Sure the population isn't huge, but during the summer a lot of tourists come through. There's a decent sized waterpark there that seems to do alright.

Arizona!!! We only have the 5th largest metropolitan area in the entire country with Phoenix. Yet, we have jack. Pretty lame. We have two crappy coasters, one of which is a kiddie coaster, in the whole entire state. I would be happy with any kind of real park within a three hour drive of my place.......

Your right I never thought of Arizona. Phoenix would thrive off a park!

No, as I said above, Arizona has three coasters, two of which are kiddy coasters. One's a Dragon Wagon, then there's Castles 'n' Coasters. *Sigh* Come on, Arizona.
