States lacking in parks/coasters

I thought their were already many Cedar Point advertisements near SFGam.

And a lot of you guys don't seem to understand that people would not travel to Wyoming to go to an amusement park...

TOGO!
Vekoma!

If BGT can get a hyper FILLED with airtime than FL could get that void filled BUT there are NO steel airtime machines and even a 150 footer LOADED with airtime would do wonders to fill that void. I am very disappointed that NO ONE wants to build us a hyper there! I'm sure it would get longer lines than anything in FL!!!

My first post on CB (lurker for a while and post once and a while on GTTP) and I say Ohio needs more coasters! haha...life is good in the coaster world of Ohio

Thrill park in Florida? Well, you don't attract the tourists with what they have at the amusement park right near by. Guess what those amusement parks have? Little theming wooden and steel coasters. Ohhh, some of them may be real large, but whould that be enough to give those tourists a reason to fly 2000 miles to Florida???

The parks in Florida are fine the way they are. Themed, with radically different rides (75% of the time, unique in the world). And believe me... WDW could have built 6 25 millions coasters for the price of Mission: Space...

Fun Spot park in Angola, Indiana and Beech Bend in Bowling Green, Kentucky both need 1 world class woodie. It would improve both parks 200%

New York has more than three parks. We have:

SFDL
Martin's Fantasy Island
Seabreeze
Great Escape
Coney Island

Although not a whole heck of a lot we have a pretty decent amount of parks in New York state.

Hey, let's not forget about Adventureland. While they may lack many amazing coasters, they've got one of the most unique flat ride collections I've seen, including two top-notch Mondial rides, a one-of-a-kind Log Flume (in this country, I think...), and an old-school dark ride.

...and really friendly employees, too!

Most depressing thought posted here in awhile...:(

People would definetley travel to Wyoming! Wyoming is probably the most beautiful place I've ever been. A park there would be incredible.

About NY and MA parks. C'mon! NY is like 10 times the size MA! It doesn't have 10 times as many parks though! NY is definetly lacking.

It takes like 3 1/2 hours to get from Boston to SFNE. That's the longest distance in that state. It takes me 6 hours to get to SFDL, and I don't live the farthest from that park!

Take the size of the state into consideration.

It's funny how people keep mentioning New York as needing another park, but keep forgetting about that "little" park in Jackson New Jersey called Six Flags Great Adventure, which is a big feeder for New York city/state.

If you want expensive rides, you're going to pay for them, in one way or another.

Who would travel to Wyoming? It's bordered by some of the least dense states in the U.S. not to mention that it itself is the least populous at around 650,000 people. And any cities there are small too. Casper or Cheyenne couldn't hope to sustain an amusement park. While I wouldn't mind seeing one there, it really doesn't need one.

Places that could use one: Tuscon or perhaps somewhere between it and Phoenix, El Paso, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Mississippi, South Carolina....and I suppose Oregon could use a bigger one too.

Sometimes you don't need people to bring the park.

The park will bring the people.

Put a park somewhere between Cheyenne and Thermopollis. Make it a good park. People will go to Yellowstone and the amusment park on their way. All of the people from Cheyenne, Casper, Yellowstone, Thermopolis, Denver, Billings would thrive toward the park.

Intamin Fan- How many times am I going to have to say NY is big. New York City IS NOT New York. SFGAdv. is great for the people in NYC, but there are plenty of places in the state that could use a good park.

I agree that a park could be succesful in the middle of Wyoming, but you'll never convince potential investors.
