I have seen God at Dorney Park.

And it was Talon. This is the best inverted I have ever been on or heard of. Everything about it is unique... plus there is none of the patent B&M Forcelessness. It's so quiet...

Wierd, I thought it was the Gentilist B&M inverted I've been on. It is still a great ride though.

That's funny, I thought I saw God too the very first time I went to CP back in '00. As the train crested the lift hill of MF, I just know that's what I saw. (and on occasion, when I go back and ride that ride, the same thing happens.) :)

It wasn't really "God", but I did meet another "deity" at Dorney....guy went by the name of Schmeck, Herb Schmeck.....it was definitely a religious experience of SOME kind....

What in the hell are you talking about? I was never at Dorney Park!

What a Combo!

A Thunderhawk fan alright. Anyway Talon is great but it doesn't beat it'sbig green brother. Riding Talon and Great Bear the same day belive it or not I liked GB better. The layout is so cool but it just dies after the corkscrew on GB.

I found Talon to be better than Raptor and my favorite invert (ive been on Montu, Volcano, Raptor, Great Bear and Batman the Ride). It might be due to the fact that my favorite part of Raptor was the ending Helix, and Talon is full of em. I think I may have seen god as well when I had my front seat ride on Talon at night... :)

I saw 'God" many times..on MF, The Beast and Volcano...

I wouldn't say Talon is THE best inverted though, I kinda prefer Raptor ;)

Talon is great because it packs so much into a small space. The helix at the end that is 6 feet off the ground is great for many things, one of which is the fact that you feel like you can actually touch it as it flies right next to the midway. And that spot will get better over the next couple years as those little shrubs start to grow up.

Talon is right up there, and (thankfully) exceptionally "clone-able". Sure, I'd take some others above it, (Alpie, TG:TJC, Montu), but for the land-space it occupies and the ride it provides, I thought Talon was a fantastic ride, worthy of its placement at the front of Dorney...(a great park in its own right).

edit: I should probably add Great Bear and Fire Dragon to the list of "favored" inverts....they both have really unique layouts....:)

Actually, I prefer Great Bear at Hershey, and Raptor (my favorite inverted) to Talon. But, all hats off to Talon, nonetheless. It was a pretty good inverted. (I actually preferred the back than the front on that, for some reason.)

Talon is freaking awesome and MUCH more enjoyable to me than the big green turd. But like my P.I.C. RGW, it's still behind Montu and TG:TJC, but right there with Alpie. And even GP "T" admitted that Talon was WAY better than GB (I even like RAPTOR over GB...)

IMHO Talon is just a little bit better than Raptor.

Raptor takes the 'frat boy' approach with its layout---wham, bam, snooore after the Cobra Roll. It gets extra points from me for having a Cobra Roll (my favorite element)

Talon's first three maneuvers aren't quite as good as Raptor's, but its second 'half' is better than its first.

They both get slapped around by the Dragons and stomped to mush by Montu, but that doesn't mean they're bad....just not quite as good.

Dragons is awesome, Montu too but raptor is still my fav invert and well worth the 10 hour drive one way for us!!!Actually Id take Nitro over all of them myself, thank you

The only coaster capable of seeing God on at Dorney would be that Anton Creation. LAZER!

Talon is a good ride, Nothing great or insane about it though.

Chuck, who thinks Talon was a good sound investment for the park.

And the good news for central PA? Schmeck coasters can be found at Dorney, Hersheypark and Knoebels. And the even better news? Thunderhawk, a very good coaster in its own right, in my opinion is the weakest of the three... Comet at Hershey is just a step above... with Phoenix at Knoebels rising above the other two.

Three Schmeck coasters with in two hours of each other. Now if only Great Escape was not so darned far north in Lake George NY.
