The years best memory
Mine would be riding my first B&M inverted coaster which is Montu at BGTB. The zero g-rolls, the batwing, and the Immalmin took my breath away.

This years best memory is a long one. April 29th I drove to CP to process in the next day. I went to battery park and sat there with the bugs for at least an hour looking at the force in awe. The next day, I drove up the causeway and into Human Resources. As I stepped out of my truck, I hear the loudest anti-rollbacks ever. I turned around and there was good ol blue racing up Millennium's lift. I was ecstatic. For the next week or training, I kept an eye on the force at all times, and became so jealous of the Management because they were riding. Well, the day before the first buy-out day, I started to give up hope of riding before the GP. At 8pm my former manager Mike Renfrew came over and told us to leave early. And as I started walking away, he said "oh yeah - go ride millennium" and I literally freaked. I ran as fast as I possibly could down frontier trail and into the queue. 5 minutes later (8:10pm) I sat down in 9-2 on the right side. Former crew member john-mark was also with me, and as soon as the clear was given, we just started going insane. As soon as the train rocketed out of the loading platform, my heart started beating at a million beats per minute, but before I could even think, we were at the top and were just starting to crest the drop. At that time, my hands went straight up, my eyes opened farther than ever, and my vocal cords let out the loudest scream ever. Down we went - all 300 feet. Best drop ever. Speeding around that first overbanked turn, then into the tunnel, then up the magnum hill. Can I say Airtime?? - Well we flew through the rest of the circuit, and into the unload platform. I could hardly believe it, so I ran down and got back inline. After waiting an extra 20minutes for 1-1 right, I sat down and started up the lift. We crested, and flew down that drop. I could have sworn my skin was peeling off. Incredible.

I'm 13 and I just started LOVING coasters this year. I liked them last year but now I'm nuts over them!!! My favorite moment was going on the first ever Inverted coaster, if you don't know that I am refering to B; TR at SFGAm, or going on my first launced and first backwards coasters at SF Elitch Gardens, Boomerang and Sidwinder. I still wish my whole family shared my love for coasters. But were going to CP,SFMM,PGAm,SFO, and PKI next year!!!!

Best memory...
I'd have to say going to Kennywood for my high school's day. It was my first trip to any amusement park in about 6 or 7 years. For some reason, I stopped getting the urge.
I had been on it before, but standing in Steel Phantom's station watching trains fly down the ravine scared me completely straight. Nonetheless, I rode it and fell in love with coasters again. The rest of that day was just as awesome as my first ride on the Phantom in ages. None of my trips to the park this season matched that one; not even Labor Day's Phantom Farewell. Like Jeff's season, it was all downhill from there. (At least I'll get to do it all over again in May!)
Towards mid-summer, my father and two friends of mine went to Cedar Point. It was an awesome trip filled with awesome rides. Sadly, I doubt I'll be going back for quite some time.
The incredibly long trip to Michigan's Adventure with Dad was great... but I'll tell you, I don't think I ever wished to be home more than I did on that trip. 10 hours in the car is a bit much.
Lastly, this may be a little too corny for you all, but getting involved in online coaster communities is one of the best things that happened to me this year. From GTTP to CoasterBuzz to R.R-C, I've thoroughly enjoyed talking to you all and living adventures through your accounts of trips to parks that I couldn't make it to. Hopefully, next year I'll be able to meet some of you in person!

Without a doubt, Millenium Force is my highlight of the year. Just watching the coaster on the net being built from infancy, then actually going to ride it is great. When I was at the park it felt like the coaster belonged to me becuase of the watching and the waiting that I did all winter long. I have was never happier waiting 2 1/2 hours to ride it. And I only got to ride it ONCE.

The summer of 2000 was the greatest of my life (in terms of coasters, anyway). My love of coasters had been slowly dying since about eighth grade, and then, thanks to that new ride that opened at CP this summer, as well as my stumbling across this site one day when I was bored, totally changed that forever and got me interested in roller coasters with a passion I had never before experienced.
I will NEVER forget my first ride on the Force, nor will I ever forget my second ride (front seat - we were offered 50 bucks for that seat by the people behind us and we didn't take it). There also was Physics Day when I got all excited to ride the Force for the first time and didn't get to because it rolled back that morning. Then there was my 1st night ride on the Force, which convinced me that MF was a better ride than Magnum. Of course, this was immediately followed by a nighttime Magnum ride which only made me unsure about which one I like better all over again.
When I had traveled to other parks before, it had always been with my family, but this summer, I went to other parks with friends for the first time. Friends are MUCH more fun to go to a park with than parents. My first trip to SFO was great. Villain...my 1st CCI (with hopefully a BUNCH more to come). PKI is always great, but my friends made it greater. SOB was good (not great) and was definitely worth the trip. The Beast is always a cause for an adrenaline rush. Plus with this trip my friends and I had lots of fun when we weren't at the amusement park :)
Overall, it was a great summer, and I can't wait till next year to hit Chicago, SFGAm, MA, and even meet up with some college friends at Kennywood and SFNE. It will be awesome...hopefully topping this summer.

Boulder Dash!!! From the construction tours last winter, to the opening preview day, to the media day, to getting over 200 rides for the season--it was one heck of a year at The Lake. I've always loved LC in the past, but the addition of BD made it even more special. Even after riding ST this summer, BD is my #1 woodie. Nothing beats that setting, the airtime, and the speed!

I started out the coaster year with my middle school's trip. Keep in mind I had never been on a coaster over 100 ft. and looping. First coaster, Raptor, then Mantis, then Mean Streak, and a couple hours later, Magnum. Sadly, on that trip I did not get to go on MF.
The next trip I got to go on the Force. One of the only parts I can remember is zooming down that hill and looking over at the kid next to me and I saw the train at near vertical(The words coming out my mouth at the time were very inappropriate to share). Next year, I'll be able to do all over again! :)

#1- Waiting in line for MF, everything was quiet next to the chain link fence on the bunny hop, next to the station, when WWWWhhhhhoooosshhhh! A returning train came flying by making my whole group jump and scare the bejesus out of us all! We were all grabbing at our hearts, stepping onto the loading platform.
#2- Saying goodbye to SP, the 225 drop into the ravine was amazing.
#3- We drove all the way to Hershey to ride Lightening Racer. Come to find out, we realized that we loved the Wildcat 10 times more. I realized what GCI was all about that day. I swear by GCI now, and cannot wait to ride Roar this summer.
Snow and low temperatures got to go!!! 80 days until spring and I'm counting them on my calendar.

Yes thats right I do travel. I am very proud of my track record. When I started I never thought I'd get this far. But I know of afew people that have higher track records than me, so its really nothing too special. Infact, on the 1st im goin to ride Kraken for 409. One of my favorite experiences riding coasters was the ACE supermania! event at SFNE. It was freezing, and I gave my girlfriend my coat - then it started snowing lol. I met afew really cool enthusiasts and was able to ride boulder dash that day aswell. Great times.
