Well Kennywood is one park that almost everyone loves.

So lets have a thread containing our favorite Kennywood thinkgs.

Mine are the Airtime on the Phantoms Revenge, the great food, and the ability to combine tradition and high tech thrills.

The "Old Wood" smell that many rides at the park have.

Sorry I have no better way of describing it...but I love that smell.

Kenny Kangaroo! Garfield and Odie are ok, but they can't mess with Kenny.

Hey, whats not to love? The coasters are good, theres an ok variety of flats, and great food, especially the potato patch (especially cause i work there). The only bad thing i can think of is the shows which are terrible. I myself have to put up with the mad science show daily which is terrible. But overall you gotta love the park.

Potato Patch fries, dip cones, great wooden coasters, phantom's revenge, a great collection of flat rides, and the sense of history from that place. Who could ask for anything more?

Don't get me started on the "Aero Riders" that they had dancing in front of the Aero 360 during its first year. Heh, but otherwise, everything is great about the park. Great rides, great food, great atmosphere, and great prices.

Things I love about Kennywood:

Jack Rabbit, Racer, Thunderbolt, Exterminator, the Kangaroo, Auto Racer, Noah's Ark, Old Mill, the Whip, their collection of antique arcade games, the Loop-O-Plane, Bayern Curve, Paratrooper, Potato Patch, dipped cones, the log flume...ok, everything ;-)

I love the memories. I remember three different Ferris Wheels, the TiltaWhirl, Flying Scooters, Laff in the Dark, Rotor, Rockets, Little Dipper, Rowboats, Wild Mouse, Miniature Golf over next to the Carousel, Whip over by the Log Flume, and the Zoomerang.

I also remember really impressive shows. Some of them were on the island stage in the lake and included a lot of famous acrobats and other circus acts. Some of them were over in the concert shell and included Buddy Holly and the Crickets, the Everly Brothers, and the Impalas.

I remember when Kennywood had the largest swimming pool in Pennsylvania, where Old Kennywood is now.

And I remember when passenger trains brought people in from everywhere. You got off the train and walked up what seemed like a never ending staircase to the park.

Love is in the air?

1) After the "dramatic" P-Burgh tunnel into the park, you are greeted like a human being, not a number. 2) Since, the Bayern Kurve left the CP midway, it's the only place I can ride it (3 or 4 times!!) 3) The smell of Potato Patch from Noah's Ark. You don't know whether to stay in line for the great Ark or eat. 4) Double Dip. 5) Continuous track roller coaster. 6) Dark spinning mouse. 7) 2 coasters tangled in the ravine.

Ok, I love Kennywood. Thanks for the thread, now I can't wait for July either.

Man, damn these threads. Quit making me think about how I'm NOT at Kennywood!

I honestly don't think I was every disappointed at KW for a second, besides the single train op on PR last year (they fixed that). The food is *great*, it's amazingly cheap, the park is a great value, the rides are quality (so many dark rides, flat rides, *unique* rides), and I could go on and on.

Kennywood is, and always will be, one of my favorite parks. The atmosphere is spectacular, and at night it transforms into another world.

Doesn't look like I'm getting back to KW this year though, which really sucks. :(

I love Kennywood because for some strange reason, no matter how many times I visit(which is everyday for me), I never get tired or "burnt out" of the park. That I can either stay for an hour or the entire day and still walk away from the place with a smile on my face. Good ole k-wood.
