STE's LIMs don't "fail". If so, it would have about 20 feet to go from 100-0. Sometimes it takes a few extra feet to stop...it's no big deal.
Dodonpa doesn't hit the brakes that fast. I saw video of the whole ride. The ride loses a lot of speed. The hill is only 165 or so feet, and occurs halfway through the ride. By that point the train is already down to 70 or 80 something. (Compare that to 107 just a 10 or 20 seconds earlier) By the end of the ride a lot more speed is lost.

Are we talking about the speed of the train when it hits the brake run, or the deceleration of the brake run? They're two very different things and I think people are getting them confused.-------------
AC?, RB?, MF?, DD?, PR? Who can keep track of it all?
Good Point!
Are we talking Millenium Force hitting a long break run at 65 that slowly slows you down or a defunct King Cobra break run that brought you to a complete stop in about 20 feet? Obviously MF hits the breaks at a faster pace, but because of the ubrupt stop on KC you might say it hit the break runs at a faster pace.
For a coaster going the fastest when it ENTERS the break run it would be either Dodonpa, or ToT, S: TE both. Probably ToT and S: TE because of the ride design. It is technically breaking as soon as the LIMS refire.
Well, Georgia's GASMcomes into the main brakes at 25 to 30 mph. Usually around 27 though. But you think you're doing 90 from the way it stops. The electricians have played around with it so that with one train it rarely stops out there anymore. With two trains, it will only stop when the train in front of it hasn't cleared the station.
Lots of people complain to me, and all I can really tell them is that I'm sorry, they're automatic!
