Slowest would definentely be... Demon or Green Slime Mine Coaster at Paramount Great America(where there's trims, taming, and break downs on every coaster). Demon and Slime Coaster both hit trim breaks right before the final element of the ride, so you have little speed to get through those elements and you enter the station brakes with nothing. Demon goes into an upward helix right before the brakes, but because it's going so slow, half the train is still in the helix when it hits the brakes.

Pound for pound, CP's Wildcat hits the brakes harder then any other ride I can think of.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...
a few things ive observed...first off, how do you guys know the Xcelerator train speed into the break run??? isnt it still under construction? i mean, sure they may have some facts posted, but some people were talking like they had EXPERIENCED it, haha also, regarding S:TE and ToT, those are LSM's, not LIMs.....not a huge difference i know, but just thought id point it out.
as far as my experience, id say yeah Volcano seems to have a fast break entry AND a quick stop.....which kinda sucks comin down that sweet drop into the tunnel....also FOF has a pretty jarring stop. yeah....dont know about KC at PKI, but Shockwave here at PKD is famous for its "replace your rib cage or male anatomy" stopping distance...its crazy!! and yeah, hypersonic is pretty fast on entry speed too....although its a MUCH smoother stop
Tim (somebody tell me why i love TOGOs so much....is something wrong with me?!?! im actually salivating the thought of finally riding Viper at SFGadv this summer!! haha)

Blue Streak @ CP.
There is a long, covered brake run left over from the old, primative braking system. The new fin system barely lets the train in before stopping.
It is without a doubt TOT (or S:TE) at Dreamworld. I know for a fact that this ride doesn't start braking until you're back under the cover about 30ft from the station.
They don't refire the LSMs to make it slow down, because that would be MUCH too risky in a power outage. But I'd say you hit it at around 70 or 80 mph. On ours, it slows down a bit on the lauch straight, but its only because of friction, you can clearly see by the way it slows down that it isn't a forced slowing.
And they only have to stopping brakes in the short tunnel out of the station. It is similar to that on the Impulses - different mechanics for starting to slowing.
Also, Wicked Twister - that'd be what? 50 or 60mph - the last lauch actually slows you down doesn't it?
If you wan't quickest, can't go past the good old Vekoma RollerSkater. It might not be the fastest ride, but you stop fast enough to be reminded of what the lapbar is made of.

So what if the best coaster in Australia is a second hand Arrow?
