Which coaster hits the brake run fastest?

Which coaster do you think hits the brake run fastest and which hits the brake run the slowest?

I think the fastest would have to be H:XLC and slowest SD2K.

I think Millennium Force. That thing goes in the breaks at about 70.
actually, 65 MPH.

Yes, while I don't know the exact speed, I do know that the train on Millennium Force is still "over" the Ohio highway speed limit when it glides into the magno-brakes.

and slowest SD2K.

No way! Have you ridden it?

When I rode it it wasn't as fast as MF hitting the brakes, but still fast enough! It seems like mabye 35-40 mph. That's faster than most.

The slowest would have to be some mini coaster
the slowest would be DejaVu, because it seems that most of the time it doesn't hit the final brakes.

Texas Coasters... wow I'm lucky... IM me if you feel like talking about coasters.

Hah! Look, we've got comedians on this board...

I think another fast one would be S:ROS at SFA. All intamin coasters seem to hit brake runs at very high speeds, but with the technology of their mag breaks, they all have "harmless" stops. In other words, the braking may be sudden, but its not to the point where you are slammed into your restraint or given whiplash!

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!

Dodonpa could be considered the fastest hitting the brakes, but it's brakes strech quite a distance.

....MF has to be right up there.....really hoping they never take out the final bunny hop on S:RoS though, it's like "last call for airtime" IMO...
I believe its Millennium Force then SD2K

Never argue with a fool for he may be doing the same

I don't think so, I_Love_The_Gemini. SD2K is MUCH closer to the slow side. It's probably number 150 on the fastest entries into the brake run. It does not scream into the brake run, more like gently enter. The brake run is pretty high off the ground and the train enters at what feels like 35-40. That's a little faster than most coasters, but nothing compared to many others!

For wood I think it's Tonnerre de Zeus, that thing flies in to the brakes.
For a BMer Nitro hits it kinda hard. I think most BMers (except for batman) just limp into the brake runs.
After MF, the next might be Volcano.

They may not be the fastest into the brakes but i know what the funniest are. Vekoma rollerskaters especially The flying unicorn at IOA.

They slow the train from quite a speed in such a short time that u get flung forward and squished by the lap bar if your not prepared.

My family were laughing so much in the queue at the people jerking forward that some people were givin us funny looks!!! The brake run on them is way less than the actual train length and gets you to Okph in seconds!!

The vampires back with more avengence! and rust!

Nitro hits the brakes very slow compared to most hyper coasters. SRoS @ SFNE flings you forward and it looks like you'll run straight into the station. BDK also throws you into the OTSR. MF is the fastest though, if it's not, then it's Dodonpa. Unless you count when STE's LIMs fail and it flies through the station and into those brakes, because that's gotta be pretty fast. Volcano's gotta be somewhere up there, as it has that last pretty big drop into them.

Why ride rough coasters when you can ride smooth ones?

The Texas Giant enters the brake run fairly fast, too.

Haha Milliman, I couldn't agree more. In fact, there is no Flying Unicorn at IoA to my brother and I. We now have christened it by a new name "The Gut Buster". I could spend hours watching people screech to a sudden stop!

Don't really know how fast GASM is going at SFoG, but when it hits the brakes, it's stopped. Painful stuff.
