Which park offers the "Total Package"

While I consider myself a coaster and park enthusiast, I have only been to a handful of parks (MA,CP,IOA,SFOG,SFGA,PKI). What park do think gives the total package as far as rides, shows, atmosphere, thrills, etc... Obviously there have a lot of parks I have not been to. While I am a bit biased because I worked at CP for two years (96,97), I still think IOA gives more bang for the buck. I'm not sure if I think that because I have only been there once as opposed to working at CP and returning a few times a year since then. The theming at IOA is just incredible. With rides like posedans fury (sp), Spiderman, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, just to name a few, IOA is just an awesome park to spend a day or two in. The park itself is almost a sensory overload. What other parks do you think fall into this "total package"?

Well family parks are my favorite type of park and i believe Canobie offers a great package. For 2002 $23 isnt bad, and the park has an awsome woodie, new tower, good wild mouse, shoot the chutes, a great log flume and so many flat rides its unbeleivable. The park lacks a good steel coaster but offers many shows, such as BoZo some old guys who play music, a robot show, fireworks saturdays, etc.

I think SFMW offers the "total package" because you get a comination unlike any other in a theme park which are rides, shows, marine life attractions, and wildlife exhibits. The only park that I can think of that offers a "total package" comparable to SFMW is SFWOA. You could also throw in Sea World adventure parks as well. That's my opinion...

Ya know, I have lived in Columbus Ohio for the last 5 years and still have not gone to SFWOA. I hear conflicting reviews of the park and any time I end up going north, I end up at "the point". I just have never been overly impressed with the SF parks I have been to. They seem fairly unorganized and not very clean. I'm sure there are SF parks that are not but that was my experience whith them.

Hershey park has it all.

B&M Rocks, I don't mind you saying that. It may very well be the truth. However, can you elaborate just a bit. What makes you think that it is any better than any other parks? Have you been to other parks to compare it? What do you like about the park? rides? shows? theming? I don't mind people sticking up for their home parks but please have something to back it up.

You guys should go to the Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, its a really nice park with somehting for everyone IMO, but for a big park I'm going with CP.

Giantwheeljay-I think you should consider giving SFWoA a try. More people enjoy that park than you would think. Just because you have heard conflicting reviews(which happen with just about everything in this world) doesn't mean you shouldn't give them a chance. Enthusiasts in general seem to strongly dislike the park, atleast most of the ones on this board. I think it's a great park with awesome potential. Do they offer the complete package? In a way yes and in a way no. They do have an unbeatable value with one admission getting you into 3 different worlds and a great collection of coasters. However, they do need improvements in areas such as cleanliness and guest service. It's kinda like a movie....some may dislike the same movie another person thought was great. Give them a chance. I don't think you'll find it as bad as a lot of peeps on this board say it is.

I've been to quite a few parks and if I had to pick one destination as the complete package it would be IOA.

SFGAm and BGT are the only parks in America I consider go have a solid, complete coaster collection. BGT could use a hypercoaster, but as is the collection is solid. SFGAm just has a perfect collection of everything.

LTLWcbybe, I agree with you. I really ned to make it up there. I just tend to stick with things I am familiar to. It's only 2 hrs. away. It would be worth it just to experience something new.

Coasterdude318, I really did not enjoy the prak. Granted the last time I went was in 1996 or so. Just very compact and not real clean. The best memory of the park is that it has the first coaster I ever rode. I was six and my brother forced me, kicking and screaming, on the Great American Eagle. I haven't looked back since

SFGAm compact? It's a *huge* park with a very simple layout. It's also well landscaped, well themed, and the most beautiful of all the Six Flags parks I've been to. Rarely is there a problem with trash. Like any park, SFGAm could use some minor improvements, but as is I'd say it's one of, if not the best in the chain.

knotts has got to be mentioned in this post. World Class thrills, Disney like atmosphere, something for everyone, water park, from my perspecive nothing beats going on a warm summer evening, paying $15 bucks and experiencing an original theme park

I think SFoG this year is very nice. They actually have employees now that can get the rides going. 3 B&Ms, a lap-bar only looper, and 2 awesome woodies really makes this parks collection of coasters great. Also, the surroundings are very nice. The gardens and the trees really make a nice setting for a great park. I also like the way they have fixed up a lot of the park. If you had asked my opinion of this park last year it would have been very different.

Knotts is good but not solid, Knotts is only 2/3 of the way their and still has a lot more growing to do.

I would have to say SFGADV because it has a excellent Safari and a huge water park, and lets not forget all the coasters including 3 B&Ms.And the best part is they have so much room to get bigger.They have one of the best coaster celebrations that I go to every year. In response to the buzz poll, I can't beleave more coaster events attended, who could pass up ERT!!!!!!!!! By the way B&Ms RULE !!!!!!!!Ajrides.

I think Hershey is good but to complete the package they need some more additions.A water park, a drop ride, a ride that launches, it has nice shows, maybe some more flat rides to bring the coaster linesdown, a pay attraction would go in nicely.

Sfgadv's has a nice package the largest wild safari outside africa which also has real encounters with real animals, A big water park with nice slides and lush theming. The park has an endless amount of land to expand on to and has a variety of coasters. 3 Beemers 2 in which are in the top 25 steel coaster list. Nitro came 4th best steel in the world. Medusa I think 14 or something. The most rides in the world (so they say).High attendance with some tourists.They are working on the entertainment by adding new shows making it a family atmosphere. To improve the park they should lower the parking price, lower the price of food, make water park free, add a woody, maybe another drop ride, put more theming on Nitro, definently hire more employees and you got a park with the total package.

There really aren't that many parks with great wood AND great steel. I mean how many have a hyper and any decent wood at all?

IOA is missing a hyper AND wood, but the shows and theming (and food and employees and everything else is AMAZING). I would say CP comes the closest, but it's still missing a really good woodie.
