For the best steel drop I'd have to say the MF. Especially in the last row when you get pulled over the front of the hill and you come out of your seat. For wood I'd have to say Colossus. I don't know what to say about it, other than I just like it.

I think the best addrenlene drop is Riddler's Revenge. 166 ft standing above magic mountain is downright AWESOME! Then there is Golitah 238 ft in the air that lift seems to go on and on and on. Then you see all the hills in the Grapevine out in the middle over no were. You tower over Colosus then go down a 255 ft drop 61 digree angle and 85 mph into a great head chopping tunnel. I think if I rode MF it would be better but this is a very intnense coaster that knockes people out by the ride!

Wood I think is Colosus. Its huge steep and old!

Raging Bull beats them all hands down in the airtime category -- it just has the strongest pop and the air lasts the longest out of them all.

But, Millennium Force wins for the sheer height, speed, and astonoshingly amazing angle of descent. It literally takes your breath away.

So, my favorite drop on a steel coaster is Millennium Force's first drop.

For wood, I've been on these CCI's:

I've been on megawoodies such as:

Son of Beast

The best drop on a woodie out of all of those is definitely...

...Rampage. It has the most air going over the entire drop over any other woodie. It's really very awesome.

Batman Knight Flight, back row, right end seat.

You do the traditional B&M straight out before the drop, but your still going straight and then you get violetly whipped down.

If it wasn't for MF, I would say AC at BGW. However, MF has to be the only first drop that scared the crap out of me the first time. Woodie- The Beast at night, pitch black

I agree with Legandary about Raging Bull. The airtime received is awesome. Millennium Force is an entirely different experience. Great Drop.

Hands down- Millenium Force. First row. You hang over the edge and you can't see the track below you. Then when you drop the speed brings tears to your eyes.
Worst-By far-Magnum XL-200. One word. OUCH!!! That is the hardest, bumpiest, most painful drop ever, let alone the rest of the ride.

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!

Magnum's drop wasn't bad, you get a nice view of the lake, and it's nice and high. The turnaround is brutal, though. I really like the bunny hops at the end.

...anyway, back to the post, MF has the best first drop, so high, so fast, so much airtime! As for wood, I haven't been on many, but personally I think American Eagle at SFGAm has a great first drop.

I wouldn't be suprised if Oblivion's or G5's first drops are better than MF's or Goliath's. I bet you that hanging 90 degrees staring 87.5 degrees staright down is pretty cool!
