Why do "BRAVE" Riders Scream?

I yell,but don't scream.  On a roller coster, I can't scream.  I have to try and scream when on a ride.

So Millennium Force may be where most people scream at Cedar Point.  But for me the best place to scream is on top of the Cedar Creek Mine Ride.  Scream on top of the first lift hill as loud as you can just to get people wondering.  Then you gotta do it again on the second lift hill.  This time even louder.  I always get a ton of laughs and embarrass the person riding with me.  That ride to me is just as important for the screaming purpose as a front seat ride on Raptor or Magnum.  Oh and the answer to this topic, where else can you scream as loud as you can?  It's just fun for even the bravest souls of the coaster world.

I dont screm, of course I do an occasional ohhh or ahhhh!  But then again, I never been on any of the Big ones at CP or SFWoA.

I often find myself turning into Austin Powers "Yeah, Baby, arrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaa."  often spoken when riding in the back car of  Shockwave or Vortex as they whip through the loops.   Has anyone broke out in  fits of laughter on a coaster, I have during an especially painful ride on The Big Dipper,  the day after Coastermania and marathon ERT on Maggie. Never go on that thing with a brused stomach, ouch.

I like "cheering" when I'm on a coaster. I wouldn't call it screaming but, it does help with the adreniline rush.
I really liked my visit to CP because the people cheered and clapped upon returning to the station. That doesn't happen at SFGAdv or Hershey or Dorney (and probably lots of other parks too).
I always seem to be the only one "all pumped up" after the ride...I wish I lived closer to CP!

I consider myself quite brave; I enjoy bungee jumping, rollercoasters, and am prepping to skydive, but I still scream on nearly ride. Why? Not out of fear, but just because there doesn't seem like anything better to do. Where else would the energy come out?

well I have broek out in laughter on a lot of coasters, I can remember apollo in partular I was laughing/cackling with delight I was pumped and having a great time so I holler, laugh and say "YEAH! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" a lot.

I broke out into laughter on the Big Dipper also.  It was that last full week of opperation where they didn't run the Wildlife side and only limited rides.  Just as the coaster started up the lift, it started to rain.  By the time we turned around for the first drop it was pouring.  We were soaked by the end of the ride but I got more airtime on that ride than any other previous ride on the Big Dipper.  Laughed the whole way, great time.

I don't scream I just say yeah after the first drop and stay quiet the rest of the ride.

For me when I am on a coaster it is an excuse to scream like maniac and get all of the stress out of me.

IMHO, screaming on a coaster is way cheaper than psychotherapy and accomplishes about the same thing...mental-floss... and it just makes you feel so good!  Personally, I just can't "let it rip" in the State office where I work, although I'd just love to on occasion, but on my favorite coaster Nitro (of which I have no fear whatsoever and never hold on...because that feels good too), I absolutely go for it!!!!! and then I'm fine!    

I don't really scream, I either yell (gibberish or "oh yeah" and other such clever phrases) or laugh hysterically.

For the hell of it.

It's simple... it's basically the adrenoline rush that you get when you are on the coaster and dropping down the steep hills, looping upside down through the various elements, and just speeding along. It's not necessarily a scream of fear (as much as it may sound like it), as just much as a way of releasing the energy from the adrenoline that you get from riding the coaster.

 Thats pretty much my assessment, also. Im hardly afraid of any coaster, but once the train gets release from the chain, you cant help but to scream.

I don't scream but do let out an occasional "Wooohooo" or "Oh Yeah."
I laugh hysterically everytime I ride the Cyclone at SFNE cause it is so brutal. I made a bet with my friend the other day that if I kept my hands up the whole time in the back seat he would stop smoking. I held up my end, minus a couple of ribs, but he's still smoking. What I do in the name of friendship!

I scream and laugh on occasion when I am especially enjoying a ride.

I like to scream like there's no tomorrow...sometimes I laugh too. My friends and I used to sing songs, but that annoyed everybody...that was in my pre-entusiast days anyway. Now I just scream, laugh, or enjoy the ride...usually the former :)
