Yeah i heard octoer fifth, and from a worker two sundays ago that it would most likley be open in two weeks.  I think it will, i will be there.  Testing seems to be looking good.  It looks like a sweet ride.  It is so smooth going through the elements.  And when it catches the second tower cable it doesn't stop or anything, it just keeps going so smoothly.  I can't wait.  Oh yeah, and during buyouts season pass holders are still able to go.  I got in during the ComEd buyout.  And they said on the phone that they can get in.  Can't wait.

Does anyone know the park hours on Oct. 5th?  Is it 10-8 like most weekend buyouts? And what is the deal with V2? It has not been operational for two consecutive weekends!

Once again, Scott1616, as i said before. Media Day on the 4th is probably about Frieght Fest, not about DejaVu. The people i know from the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald has yet to see or hear anything about DejaVu opening up this year. Though SF may announce if they plan to open it later into Frieght Fest or if its possible or if its wait till next year before it opens. I listen to the radio all day but haven't heard nor seen any ads about it opening DejaVu. Plus when i called the hotline today they said they have no date yet if it will open and when. They may be running ads that they hope it will be ready during Freight Fest, i am guessing it probably may open up midway or near the end freigh fest, but don't give your hopes up.

Look IL_MForce_Junkie,
They are advertising it. It is opening wether you want it to or not. Why would they have a media day for Fright Fest, they never have before.

After the embarassment they've incurred with Deja Vu so far this year, it would be tremendously foolish to advertise for it now if they weren't sure it was gonna open.

Hey IL_MForce_Junkie if your sources are so great and correct why would you bother calling the hotline?  Its going to open I heard the ad myself today!

My gosh, IL_MForce_Junkie, why are you fighting the fact that it's going to open? It's a known fact that they HAVE been advertising it for a few days. I don't understand why you don't want to believe it's not going to open?

At this point I just want the thing to open so we can all stop arguing about if it is going to be open.  Somehow i think they will still manage to mess this up.... i see myself already, waiting 3 hours to get on, then being the next one in line and....... they shut it down for the rest of the day.  Oct 6th is going to be my last chance to ride it, so needless to say i will be getting there early and sprinting to the entrance.

Just to clear everything up.

Deja Vu is opening October 6 to the public. The park reopens to the public on October 6. Media day for Deja Vu is October 5. Fright fest opens to the public on October 6. This is official.

How do you know this GAMfan? Was it on the news or something? Edit:Guess what GAMfan, you're wrong. I called the park and media day is tomorrow, the 4th. However, I can't go, they already have enough ACErs. That really sucks, I was looking forward to it.                     --------------

Neil H.: are pass holders allowed in all buyouts? Or only that one buyout which was originally an operating day.

Again, to my knowledge, season passholders can go any day that the park is bought out.  I have done it twice, most recently ComEd two weekends ago.  The park is being bought out Friday (don't believe that Thursday is a buyout; after all, people work the next day) and I will be there with my season pass!

Actually, you can't enter the park with a season pass if there is a buy out being held. The only exception I'm aware of is this: If it is a semi-exclusive buy out, which was what ComEd had, you can. Otherwise, you can't get in with a pass.

Skywhirl, you're right.  I called the park.  You can't get in with a pass on Friday. Interestingly, the lady on the phone said that  the park WAS open to the GP on ComEd appreciation day, but because it was also bring a friend free day for season pass holders, they did not advertise the park as being open as it would make the park too crowded.  (Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but that's what she said).
