Loud Coasters

seems like ALL the coasters, for the exception of Nitro and maybe Skull Mountain, at SFGAdv are freakin LOUD!!  its so funny, when youre walkin across the parkin lot to the front gate, you can distinguish between all the loud thundering sounds comin from the park!!  hehe :)  also, yeah Jokers Jinx at SFA is really loud....and what about Two Face?  when the train reaches the top of the first lift, the air compressor or somethin, lets this burst of air out that DEAFENS your ears!! its horrible!!!!  anyway thats all i suppose...lol :)

I'd have to say Superman: The Escape has got to be the loudest coaster.
Riddler's Revenge is also pretty loud when you're standing in line, but at least it's tolerable, unlike S: TE.

     Superman: TE no competition. When people said this thing was loud they weren't kidding. The release of the train on the second hill on Mind Eraser at SFWoA is also very loud. Montezuema's Revenge is loud too; I'm guessing it's the same with all shuttle loops.

I would have to say Mantis is the loudest and then Millenium Force.While waiting in line and they play music the noise isn't that bad though.

I realize that very few have been so unfortunate to have ridden or seen it, but Diadarasaurus in Osaka Japan, at
Expoland, IS THE LOUDEST coaster in the world.  There is NO comparison.  You have no idea how impossible it is to escape the noise.  You can hear it for miles, literally.  If Peabody,or anyone else who has been to Japan sees this thread, perhaps they can attest to this fact.  It has to be at least 100 dB at 50 yds.  Amazing....and annoying.

Yeah, and on top of that it's not at all enjoyable.   When I first saw it I thought it would be a great ride.....I was wrong, just LOUD!

I would have to put in my vote for the UltraTwister at SFAstroworld.  I'd have to say it has the most gosh-awful sounding chain lift.  Just go and have a listen for yourself!

i would say the G.A.S.M at Sfgadv the lift hill is so loud and its not any better when your oin the train. if not the G.A.S.M then Batman the ride at SFgadv or steel force at dorney park its lift is so loud when i used a pay phone near it i couldent hear the person on the other end.

Son of Beast is really loud u can here around the park. Raptor, Mantis,and MF.

#1 coaster fan if you're refering to the chain lift on SOB they fixed it.It just sounds like anyother wooden coaster lift now.

As for the loudest coasters I've heard would have to be King Cobra@PKI,standing under the brakes really hurts my ears.

the lift on magnum and the whole ride on mantis is real loud

The Loudest coaster has got to be the Whizzer at six flags great america.  You can hear the cars going down the drop from the line of Batman the ride.  Now that is loud.

The LOUDEST, without any doubt, of all the coasters I've ridden is S:TE - deafening to stand underneath on the pathway during a launch.  SOB was loud when I was there earlier this year, as was Magnum.  The Viper at SFoG was pretty loud, but at least the noise was in short bursts.
