Most Overrated/Underrated coaster

Well the most Underrated is RIDDLER'S REVENGE! Riddler's Revenge is a B & M and so is Mantis. All you nice Midwest people but Riddler's Revenge is an updated Mantis. It is higher and faster. Airtime while standing up is sweet! It is ultra smooth and long. Its kinda like a standing Medusa that is even higher! Kong at SFMW is also a bit underrated.

Overrated.
I haven't been on alot of coasters really. Esspecally bad ones. I geuss Matterhorn at Disneyland sucks after being to Magic Mountain!

BMcoaster: I geuss hoow you can say Goliath is overated but, come on how do you get a ride that fast that smooth and say it sucks! Yes it is barely better than Riddler's Revenge but, it is better. I mean when have you hear of people loseing contiousness because of the G forces? I mean the ride in some parts is painful. It is not the ride that is rough but, the G's!!

Riddler's Revenge: THE MOST UNDERATED COASTER IN THE WORLD I SAY!!!!

Overrated - I can think of quite a few, but I guess Alpengeist sticks out for me. I'm not saying it's a bad coaster, I was just very disappointed.

Underrated - although it's SBNO, I'll still go with Screechin' Eagle at Americana, which most people haven't even heard of even though it is smack dab in the middle of coaster central. As far as operating coasters go, I'll pick the Hurricane at Myrtle Beach Pavillion.

Under-rated: The Predator at Six Flags Darien Lake was the 9th best coaster in the world when it opened and i hate how people talk about it now. Most people think now that wood coasters should be completely smooth like a steel coaster but they are not. The predator in one wild ride and i love it still, especially when it throws you around a little.

Over-rated: Magnum : I just went on it this year with such high expectations, This was the roughest steel ride i have ever been on, It was rougher than alot of woodies that i have been on. The lapbars hurt so much every time we hit air time that i couldnt enjoy it. If they put in new thrains with 2 rows instead of three per car and a different lapbar, i think this ride would be much better.

underrated- Millennium Force and Magnum. you cant give enough praise to these two gems. Big Dipper definately wins the woody catergory. also, comet and wildcat at hershey. gemini could use a little more praise.

overrated- SON OF BEAST and BEAST. first, sob is the most non-intense, crappiest layout, no airtime piece of junk on the face of this planet. Beast, while the double helix AFTER the secnd lift is nice, the first drop to the second lift is BORING! no wonder it is the longest, all that straight track and slow turns.

I agree with punk! on everything, Magnum and Millenium Force were both first of there kinds and both give one heck of a ride!
SOB is overrated also because its always broken down for some reason or other.

How can you guys say Magnum and MF are UNDERrated? They are on almost EVERY SINGLE "top 10" list worldwide. These 2 coasters have more fans than any 2 others in history. I think they were both awesome rides, but underrated, think again.

Overrated: Superman Ultimate Escape at Six Flags Ohio. I had really high expectations for this ride that did next to nothing for me. The Launch is okay and all but give me Power Tower at Cedar Point over this anyday. Also like to get my shots in on Thunderbolt(too short) and Magnum(painful air).

Underrated: Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom. I have never gotten so much stand time in my life! It's hard to believe a woody can pack all this punch with a tiny drop. Too bad it sits in a crappy park. Also Disaster Transport, which I thought would totally suck, and didn't.

Underrated: Shockwave @ SFoT - Its got almost black-out G's and more airtime than some woodies!

Overrated: Rockin Rollercoaster- didn't seem very fun and it is advertised way to much

Underrated: Collusous- had a ton of airtime in the back car and it is awesome when Goliath goes strait over your head flying out of the tunnel

Most overrated - Thunderbolt at Kennywood. I just didn't find anything fun about this ride. I agree MF is overrated but it is still a decent ride.

Most Underrated - Twister at Knoebels. This ride is the exact opposite of the Thunderbolt it is amazing and fun to ride.

SLOW TURNS PUNK! I dont think so. It hits the top speed through one of those ' slow ' turns. SOB is a bit overrated but you cant say that just because it is broken down. It has been open alot lately and i love it.

Overrated: Any Wild Mouse coaster (Exterminator being the exception) Over too fast, but don't go fast enough

Underrated: Steel Phantom! You either hate it or love it and sadly, most people hate it.

Underrated: THE COMET at Hersey! I swear, I have never felt this much airtime on any roller coaster before!! This ride is just plain AWSOME! Gemini, Big Dipper, and Blue Streak(CP).

Overated:

Over Rated > Great Bear > Superman the ultimate escape( Long waits for a half a minute ride )

Underrated > Volcano:The Blast coaster ( maybe the best launched coaster yet , that is until a TA2K comes out maybe) > Blue Streak @ CP > gemini

Kevin, you think Montu is over-rated. When did you ride it? I just got back from holiday in Florida and there are now trim brakes added to Montu just before the batwing. The result is a VERY slow end to the ride where previously the ride was great.

Anyway, the most over-rated coaster for me is Oblivion at Alton Towers. Most under-rated, The Ultimate at Lightwater Valley, UK.

Overrated: Millennium Force. I love the ride, but it's not EVERYTHING I want in a coaster.

Underrated: I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Leap-The-Dips. Wow, what a cool little ride :)

Under Rated: Chang(SFKK). Of the 4 B&M standups I've been on (Mantis, IW, Vortex[carowinds], chang) this was the best one by far. During the immelman/diving loop, it really feels like you are going to fly off the track. Ice smooth and no trims (just the midcourse). Great ride.

OverRated: The Incredible Hulk Coaster. After the launch, the rest of the ride seemed slow. While I was suprised at the amount of elements in the back half of the ride, the coaster seemed to putt-putt through the course and for some reason I remember a few 'dead-air' spots. A decent ride, but not worth all the hype that I had heard/read.
