Your favorite Coaster Station House

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned TTD. The station is pretty unique and those multi-colored lights make it look great at night.
I think the architecture and colors on Gemini's old school station make it look pretty sweet. I do agree though that B:TR has one of the best station's ever.

Correct me if I'm wrong Billiam, but Swoosh, I think the gators were 86'ed a while back. I don't remember them in December.

I think they've been gone a l-o-n-g time. My last visit to BGT was in early 2001 and they weren't there then.

-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (WDW-Magic Kingdom)- Love the underground mineshaft feeling.

-Dueling Dragons(IoA)- The castle theming is cool.

-The Hurler(Carowinds and Kings Dominion)- While most of the station theming is now gone, I use to love the Wayne's World early 90s decor. The instructional video featuring Wayne and Garth was great too.

-Loch Ness Monster(Busch Gardens Williamsburg)- The station is blanketed with vines and is on the side of a hill overlooking the Rhine River. I also like the little submarine outside the que.

-Thunderhead(Dollywood)- While the station lacks a lot of theming(Unlike Tennessee Tornado), the station fly-through really scares everyone waiting in line. The entire building shakes!

I'll vote for Lightning Racer and Knoebels Twister
Yeah Joe....Knoebels Twister is another great station with it's curved layout. Waldameer's Comet is another great station too.

I believe I last saw them in 1998 or 1999. For the record, they were crocodiles.

favorite is Batman
Come to think of it, I always liked the look of Blue Streak's station at Cedar Point. I'd like it better if you still entered at the front but whatever.

The lights in Millennium's station are gone now too. :(

Tough luck Swoosh. No gators, no lights, no Orient Express, and chances are DL Space Mountain wont be the same when re-opened. At least you still have Wildfire.

Coasterdad- I thought they used alligators under Montu since crocodiles could "leap" out of the water... I remember reading that this made the theme "inaccurate" since crocs are found in Egypt, not gators, but nobody would really notice? Anyone else care to comment? Not a big deal, just my $.02....

But then again, what do I know?

Flight of Fear(PKD) all the way!
1) Dueling Dragons
2) Montu
3) Mr. Freeze
4) Hulk
5) Viper @ SFGAm

Most Uninspired Coaster Stations:

1) ShockWave @ SFGAm
2) The Boss
3) Steel Eel
4) Iron Wolf
5) Screamin' Eagle @SFStL

My favorite station houses are those old ones where the line is built into the station somewhat, like comet @herhsy or phoenix, or swamp fox. Though for a new age twist dueling dragons and flight of fear both have the theming down.
Is this station really that "uninspired"?

I agree with coasterdude318. There are other stations that are much worse.
For the record, he didn't say it had to be something PRESENT about the stations. I guess I should have said this instead....
  • Montu - because it used to have crocs
  • Orient Express - because it used to have murals
  • Millennium Force - because it used to have lights

By the way when did they remove them as they were there last year?

And I meant Space Mountain WDW, not DL. I did not like DL's version (the "new tomorrowland" version) as I remembered it from the old days (when it was white) and the rust paint scheme just ruined it.

To add to my list (and I want everyone to comment on my other additions as well ;) ).

  • Dueling Dragons - the stained glass room and the whole bone hallways just rock
  • Alpengeist - while it's not the actual station, the queue and surrounding area is really neat with all the unfortunate skiers.
  • Lost Unicorn - how can anyone resist a display of fairy wings (I know Moosh can't). LOL!
  • MIB - while it's not a coaster, I love how they integrate things from the movies into the queue.
I'm gonna add DRachen Fire's station house to my list.

Thanks,
DMC
