Well, covering some home ground
PKD- Best guess would probably be a B&M, probably in the Congo area, if you can squeeze in between the mountain and Flight of Fear, and/or more water park stuff. Drop tower also a distinct possibility along the main midway. Doubt we'll see and wood though. :(
SFA-Skies the limit. Feris wheel and Mad Mouase type very probable. B&M floorless or even stand-up possible. Water park stuff almost a given, as that areas getting pretty skanky. More wood? Probably not. :(
-----------------
Ready to spring into a new coaster season! :)
Busch Gardens Williamsburg will get it's woodie, the Banshee I think it will be called.
Valleyfair will get its B&M inverted coaster.
Knottsberry will eventually get a hyper-coaster in the next few years.
And I would hope IOA will build on its success and build a woodie in the Jurasic Park.
--------------------
These predictions are all dependent on a strong economic recovery.
Here's what I think for SFMW and PGA for 2003:
SFMW: will try to get height limit changed from 150 feet to 200 feet, add either a drop tower or B&M multi-inversion coaster to compliment Medusa (Medusa looks lonely!). If that does not happen, SFMW will try to get a log flume or water coaster.
PGA: will try to get an Intamin mega-coaster, B&M drop coaster, or S&S launch coaster and will also try to get their height limit raised from 175 feet to 200 plus feet. (Remember, the city government only made an exception for Drop Zone, which is 225 feet. And PGA had to beg the city government to let them build Drop Zone that high.)
My overall hunch is that SFMW and PGA will get new coasters for 2003.
PGA: My favorite park! I think Paramount is pretty mute on adding a TA2K anywere after what has happend in Hypersonic at PKD. Even though Stelth was to have openend in 1999, and was part of the budget that year, we didn't get anything real big in 2001 even though celebration swings, and plaza are nice, and Pyscho Mouse is great. Next year I don't think Paramount Parks plans to add anyting to Carrowinds or Kings Dominion. I think Kings Island will get somthing kinda major( like a wild mouse) and PCW might just get something major ( dought it) SO I think PGA will get a new ride, probibly a new woodie but who will design it?
Busch Gardens Williamsburg will get it's woodie, the Banshee I think it will be called.
Valleyfair will get its B&M inverted coaster.
Knottsberry will eventually get a hyper-coaster in the next few years.
Jazzland must get a second coaster to compliment the Megazeph.
And I would hope IOA will build on its success and build a woodie in the Jurasic Park.

First of all, i have to say this: S:UF will not be cloned. I talked with Odum on Media Day and opening day of the park. The second time i asked him about this. He said that SFoG personally worked with B&M for about 3 years developing the ride. The design was "copyrighted" by SFoG so no other SF's would run up and get their very own S:UF.
Now, I think that SFoG will be getting another new kind of prototype. And this is more than just a hunch. ;)

That's just plain not true. The SFoG Superman was originally intended for SFGAm and was switched to SFoG sometime during the 2001 season. This is actually fairly common knowledge at both SF parks.

First of all, B&M would NOT let SF patent something that they built. B&M are ferocious when it comes to patents and they applied for the flyer train patent. It should be approved with the next 10-18 months. Layouts CANNOT be patented.
And, the flyer was NOT specifically designed for one particular park. John Wardley had discussed the possibility with Walter when Nemesis debuted all those years ago. Also around that time, Vekoma began to develop their flying coaster concept as well. B&M went into development and hit some design snag. They decided to accelerate the dive machine for AT and Oblivion was born. They also moved ahead with the Floorless design, always continuing to work on the flyer throughout the years.Vekoma debuted theirs in early 2000 to rave reviews while B&M continued to refine their design behind the scenes. Now, B&Ms design has finally been intriduced to the world and their well known comfort and quality are obvious in this design as in others.
Just FYI.. their floorless patent was recently granted(March 5, 2002). They applied for it in October of 1999.
I would expect to see an Intamin junior hyper or hyper in the near future at SFOG. Probably something similar to Goliath at SFH.

WCUSA-The World's largest theme park is coming!
Theme parks will NEVER be the same!
My wish list for SDC is for a Setpoint Swingthing with the water features. However since SDC Inc bought the Branson USA park it may be awhile before SDC gets another major coaster, but, I hope I am wrong.
With SDC Inc rebuilding the former Branson USA park for the 2003 season I imagine it may open with 3 or 4 coasters.
Realistic
1 Keep the Zyklon, needs some mods and refurbisment though.
2 Intamin Impulse
3 CCI or GCI woodie
The "I can dream if I want to" catergorey
1 Duelling/racing CCI or GCI
2 B&M Dive Machine
3 Arrow 4D
4 Intamin Hyper... ah what the heck, make that a Giga
This would go a long way towards luring younger people and families to Branson to replace the current typical visitor, roughly the WWII generation, which is sadly getting smaller every year.

Is the SFGam thing true? If anyone here was at media day for SUF you would have heard Odum say it took years to make possible for the park. You can ask anyone. I was surprised by this because i heard about the SFGam ride loss. Thats why i asked him about it later. Whether or not they got their certain design protected from being made again im just saying things i was told.

I truly beleive that for the 2003 season the VERY minimum for SFSL is either a triple Turbo Drop/ Space shot by S&S of about 200 ft or a 200 ft tall intamin drop. It would be great to see an intamin hyper but land is questionable since I don't know what they own. It seems like land would be fine. Hopefully a unique intamin hyper that is at leats to par with Goliath at SFH
They are supposed to get a clone of Goliath@SFH, that other guy on the boards had a picture of an Intiman hyper that was proposed at a SFStL meeting. Wether it passed or not, I have no clue.
Some questions and thoughts:
1.Lake Compounce will get that wild mouse that was supposed to come a few years back.
2.Will Dollywood or Silver Dollar City get that B&M inverted as noted?
3.Sea World San Diego will get a water coaster/dark ride in 2003.
4.Will Great Escape ever add a coaster instead of removing one?
5.Silverwood will see that dueling/racing woodie in 2003-2004.
6.Will Great America ever build a coaster that isn't tame from the start or lasts more than 5 seconds?
Lakemont Park-they are looking into getting a large ferris wheel within the next few years so the park will be more noticed from I-99. They also want to build a log flume sometime soon.
Delgrosso's Park-will enlarge thier waterpark in 2 more phases and have expressed an intrest in building a mid-sised woody.
Kennywood-It was rumored a while back that they were intrested in building an inverted of some kind. I see more flats in thier future as well.
Hersheypark-I keep hearing about a hypercoaster or a stand-up B&M.
Dorney Park-Will more than likely get an IMAX theater very soon.
Six Flags Islands..uhh I mean Worlds Of Adventure-Already said that they will get a river ride and a Hyper coaster though I believe that the hyper will be something more than just a reguliar coaster.
Six Flags Great Adventure-Maybe a flying coaster will be next along with the removal of more flat rides.
These are just my gueses.
