It was around mid to late afternoon & as we're walking toward Roar all of a sudden he just started feeling bad(this was after eating lunch at hollywood cafe)anyhow we're sittiing there on the bench near the entrance & all of a sudden he starts puking his guts out(we're talking one big pile of partially digested cheeseburger here) & sits out the ride.
Once my ride was done we just left the area & headed over to GC...when we returned later to ride Roar again(once he regained his composure & willingness to ride)sure enough that huge pile of puke was still sitting exactly where he left it.....& that was after a good two or three hours.
If you're ever at SFA avoid the food at hollywood cafe like the plauge, this isn't the first time he's gotten sick after eating the food there....last time it happened was in the car on the way home from the park about 3 or 4 years ago so it looks like we'll be eating at crazyhorse saloon from now on.
One of them happened at Cedar Point last year. I was riding on Gemini and the lady with her..eh, 7 year old daughther threw up. Nothing *too* bad hit me. Just my shirt and a few chunks of i think those big elephant ears (huge funnel cake i think they are) were on me. It was pretty gross, although my friend Josh, got it way worse than me. :x
Then when I was 6 years old, I remember going to Six Flags in Texas, I am not sure which one in texas, but it's the one with mindbender, viper (anton one), and um that's all i remember. but, when my parents were driving into a parking space i remember saying "hurry up" in a really low-about-to-throw-up-voice. right when i left the car, i had to let it all loose. good thing it wasn't in the car, as it was a rental :) but eh, yeah. I had a great time there i remember or at least i look like i did from all the pictures. I even remember going on up-side-down rides after i threw up! :)
well, that's all that's happened to me.

Now that's gross.
This summer I worked on Magnum, and you wouldn't think that it would cause people to get sick very often but it seems to happen quite regularly...I guess it's the bunny hills.
This particular day was quite hot out and I was left in charge while the TL went on break. All was going well until a guy exits the train and walks back to the corner of the station and starts to yack. Now he very well could have gone up to and puked over the railing like many people do, but for some reason, he felt the need to keep it on the platform. I didn't actually witness this, but from the groaning unison of the crowd followed by the wet splashing noise of the chewy chunks hitting the platform I could figure out what had happened. Dejected, I went over to get the cleaning supplies to clean it up.
Then as the next train pulls in, a kid in the 2nd car pukes once when the brakes catch the train. Then again when they catch for a second time, and one final time when the train parks. Needless to say we had to take the ride down for 4 puddles of puke. It was the only hose-worthy puking we had all year. And if you must know, I recognized some food matter and I believe that the culprit was one of those stuffed pretzels from Pretzel Time...and it wasn't the first time either.
Beware of those things in the midst of coaster riding because the outcome can be unfavorable for all parties involved.

I remember when I was at Cedar Point, I was waiting in the exit part of the station of Blue Streak for somebody to get off. Then a person got off the ride and I was looking in that direction and saw him throw up everywhere. It was nasty.

WheelBarrow - you have no idea. That was a pain to clean up. I was operating Hang Time when that happened. As I was reading your post, I just started getting flashbacks! While on the topic of disgusting ones I've cleaned up personally.. in prior days, I operated the Skyscraper. There were these 2 kids, each barely making the height requirement, pretty slim. Strap them in, start the ride. No big deal. Next 2 people, strap in - start the ride. This kid shouts "STOP THE RIDE! I THREW UP." So I do my best to stop the ride, which was almost full speed already at that point. Now, when he said he threw up - he didn't. He regugitated about 3 times his body weight. There was a pile of puke all over his chest, with a nice 3" thick pile on his lap. The worst part was that we had to reach INTO that mound of half-digested food to unclip the straps. Between the 3 of us that were there at the time leaving to take breaths off the platform, it took us about 10 minutes to get him out. Then, we had to close the straps empty so we could [slowly] bring the other side around and get the people off. In the end, it took us about an hour and 45 minutes to properly clean the ride, including those wonderful cloth straps. *** Edited 12/16/2004 5:23:18 AM UTC by dannerman***[/slowly]
thank god that will hopefully never happen again
btw, regurgitated is when you throw up undigested food
LOL, I didn't realize it was an old thread, so I was coming in to say "Hey Andy, you want to take this one for me?", but I see he already posted 5 years ago about my worst vomit at a park experience.
Quick! Shoot this thread in the head before more show up!
