Worst Pop-up Add Ever

Which one?

And another pop-up blocker makes the site less money...

Seriously. Pay the $20, or view the ads. Don't steal revenue.

Earthlink pop-up blocker works well, I hear Google's free blocker works good, too.

I don't think that pop up blockers will in any way result in declined revenue, since the people who put them out have no way of knowing that their ad was blocked. However, fewer people will be clicking those ads (if any did already), and that will get noticed. Or then again, maybe not. It seems like blockers do little to decrease revenues for the site.

Or, I could be totally wrong.

What ad is that? ;)

Rob-who can't believe those that use this site so damn much couldn't possibly NOT be a member.

Yeah, just get the google toolbar 2.0 beta, it has got rid of 98% of all pop ups. Some still remain, (ie, the ones that are within the webpage that use java) But the majority are GONE! and its free :) It would not decrease revenue, as far as the ad company knows, we still see em, the blockers exit out of them before we can, its not like we would click on most of them anyway. We still see the banner ads, its not deleting all the ads, good thing i dont mind the banner ads, sites need SOME revenue, that is how tv stations stay on-air, just some ad companies take it too far, and i dont care if they lose money since i am having a more enjoyable time.

Nasai: I'm already paying $50 to ACE and Coasterbuzz doesn't have West Coast events. So, while I do enjoy the 'buzz, there's not $20 worth of enjoyment in it for me. That being said, I have no problem with the premium services option and probably would be a member if I lived in Ohio (shudder the thought, LOL!).

Well there's a chicken-and-egg situation. If we had more interest on the Pacific coast we'd likely have an event out there. Heck, you never know where CoasterBuzzCon III will end up...

Besides, last I checked, you don't have to be an ACE member to attend ACE events (been to a few myself, the non-member surcharges for which never approached $50), and you don't need to be a CoasterBuzz Club member to attend CB events.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

I don't get the Pop-ups on my computer. I use Safari, which is one of the greatest web-browsers I have ever used. It blocks the pop-ups automatically, but still lets me see the in-page ads, which I don't mind.

But I do have a question for Jeff:

When my web browser blocks those pop-ups, does it cost you ad revenue?

I don't think that will happen anytime soon. It seems to me that most 'Buzzers are eastern or mid-western, not west coast.

Hey, maybe you can get us into Disneyland/DCA, since they hate ACE! LOL!

I pay my $50 for the oh-so-timely magazines and newsletters. I hear they have a piece on this new ride called the Matterhorn in the next issue.

Actually, since I have the data, I'd consider about 35% of members as being from the Midwest states. 5.5% live on the west coast.

Regarding CBC for next year, chances are already pretty good it'll be out there. We'll see how things go...

This thread already went somewhere. The answer is there. Now, we've taken over, and that's all that matters.

What disaster awaits us, now that Mamoosh' henchmen have taken over?!?!? It is probably a very humorous chapter in the roller coaster novel we call CoasterBuzz. DUM DUM DUUUUUUUUMMMMMM...

Hmmm... I don't see any ads.

Best nickel I've spent today was joining the club.

A small price to pay to avoid the most of the crap that every other site is full of if you ask me.
