Worlds of Fun Construction

It's the concrete area that was at the base of Python Plunge several years back.

Here are some more shots and they include an overhead look at the layout.

Are they removing the trees that would be inside the turnarounds? I sure hope not, but am guessing they are, as that's the norm these days. Those kind of elements are so much more interesting when you can't see where the turn is going.

Acoustic Viscosity should have said:Those kind of elements are so much more charming when you can't see where the turn is going.

So much for keeping the turns hidden in the trees. :(

^The foliage will grow in over time, that is, assuming they do plant a few trees here and there. Remember those old pics of WWL at CP? The place was barren when it opened but eventually grew in very nicely.

The park posted an official update. It's gone vertical in the turn around area.

Major progress has been made in the last month or so. The drop is nearly complete.

Well that part of the train ride is going to have a new view.

That should be a loud part of the train ride.

You can't see it in that photo but there are saplings planted between the coaster and the train tracks. In a few years they should grow in nicely :)
