Bottom Line is this: You think a park with 30 of the newest latest flats will be more succsessful than a park with a collection of 15 rollercoasters, some of which are among the top in the world!?

Is it really the Xtreme park ? I don't think it is. CP has them hands downs. And CP will do it again in 2002!!!

Ummmm, it's not that funny anymore janfrederick and eveyone else saying "They are getting a totally new coaster design" or something related to X's opening date. It's childish. Who cares when it opens up? Would you want to go on X right now with all the kinks not workd out and other such things? Probably not. Better safe then sorry.
Hey...don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining. I was taking a stab at being humorous about the situation....what else can you do? That's just the way it goes. It's not the end of the world.
There is no need to get upset and accuse me of being childish. Me taking a jab at the situation doesn't even come close to whining about taking a jab at the situation. You can get off your highhorse now.
Sorry about the harsh words. Your comments were unnecessary.

Well then. Someone always seems to ring up SFMM. Anyways, who cares what they are getting. It doesn't matter cuz whatever they get, people will e happy with it. IMO, I think the only way SFMM can keep its head in the game is to add a ride every year, good, stupid, old or just standing there. Thats only my opinion though so please no one hate me.

First of all Magic Mountain does not get a new coaster every year. Of the coasters built in the last 11 years they were built in there were only two occurences of getting new coasters in two consecutive years. Also, this last year (2001) two large expensive coasters were built (if X opens this year...) so the chance of a new coaster in 2002 is slim. But, if Magic Mountain is going to get a new coaster it will not be large and definetely not a prototype. Revenues are down and six flags may just want to hold off on expensive purchases for a while. But, 2003 will probably be a big year for Magic Mountain...something big I'm hoping.

hehe, your right, only on two occurences did they get coasters in two consecutive years...but you forgot to mention the first time that happened they got coasters in 3 consecutive years and the second time around they got coasters in 5 consecutive years and counting....
