Will SFMM get anything in 2002?

I know what SFMM is getting for 2002!  3 cheap new kiddy coasters and the old SFOG Viper.
That wouldn't be that bad if ya think about it. Put Viper behind Psyclone with a new station house and queue, paint it to something else, rename it (givin.) and put the three kiddie coasters around the park or in a new area somewhere. I bet they could build an awesome jr. inverted coaster up where Raging Rapids is. Oh, the possibilities with SFMM. ;)
I was freakin being sarcastic!!!  It just seems like SFMM would take the easy way out, or should I say up.
the name fits you  perfectly.

They should get a Mr. Freeze clone.
lol you guys, Viper behind psyclone could be a possiblity cause there is some land clearing back there, and 3 small coasters would be great to, a Setpoint Jr Splasher thing, ArrowBATic, and a junior coaster like Cobra at SFMW or Jaguar at KBF.

Woah! I mr. Freeze clone, think of that. That would be awesome. Of course, it would open with only the lap bars. Maybe higher, not such an ugly color, and name it something else.

hymmmm, the easy way out by building 2 prototypes in one year? In addition to a 255ft hypercoaster, the world's largest standup and a 415ft shuttle in the last five years? You may have been being sarcastic, but your comments are not even *close* to the truth Mr Ego.

I'm pretty sure six flags will get a new coaster for 2002 to keep on top. I just think its kind of pathetic just to build a coaster to keep a record. I rather have quality over quantity anyday.

It's not pathetic if it brings in the big bucks. And we all have our own opinions about what's quality or not. So there's a chance they have both.

It's funny how if we talk about SFMM getting a new coaster or ride, everyone spasms and says we are greedy, but when we talk about CP's new coaster, nobody cares. SFMM got 2 good coaster's this year (if X opens) but just asking if SFMM is getting something next year isnt greety. I really hope SFMM get's a terrain woodie, or an ArrowBATic...

I hope they get something small, but good. I would *love* Viper here at SFMM, you can probably make it next to Viper and rename it something like "Rattler" or another snake name, maybe  "Diamondback: quickstrike coaster" lol.

Drive to theme parks for the food, stay for the coasters!! Knott's Fried Chicken
I heard SFMM is getting some kind of Arrow coaster... something about a 4-D.
I won't complain unless Sixflags Magic Mountain gets a decent woodie!!! Once they have a good woodie then I don't mind waiting 3 years for a new coaster!

"Roar" You'll never hear the end of it!
I would to see Six Flags do something with the park they just bought near Seattle. We are coaster starved here in the Pacific Northwest, and to make matters worse,we are going to lose one of the best woodies we have ride  when the PNE/Playland in Vancouver,BC has to move next year and Coaster meets its' demise with a bulldozer.
I was at SFMM recently and I did see some work being done behind Pyclone.  I did not look like anything major.  Just some tools and other things.  But you never know SFMM can wait till it might look like its to late and come out with big plans.
It would be pretty odd if SFMM got the other Viper. There are already 2 Schwarzkopf shuttle loops in Calif. What they need the most is a decent woodie, as previously mentioned. Collossus is depressing to me ever since they removed the double dip. (my favorite part besides the first drop) Psyclone pissed me off because I have been on the CI Cyclone, they said it was going to be similar, but the somehow managed to make it inferior in every way (CI Cyclone's first drop looks impossibly steep, Psyclone's looks impossibly crooked) Hopefully KBF will become a threat and SFMM will realize that Ghostrider is one of the main reasons.

SFMM needs to work on their park. It is one of the worst 'theme' parks I have been to (more of a 'thrill' park). I think one of the main reasons is that they don't have a train or transport ride, besides that tiny tram that doesn't count. I know they have way more land than they are using, but I think it would be tiring for some to walk around the park if it got any bigger because of the hill in the middle (the 'magic' mountain.) They could solve this problem with a train, or monorail. They should also bring back the chairlift/sky ride to take you over the hill (from the front to the back of the park, not from one side to the other like it was before S:TE) This would also divert some crowds away from the coasters, and attract more families. Unfortunately, SFMM's orignal conception was to be the alternative to Disneyland, so they didn't care about themeing or attracting families, just thrill rides. It was fine until they starting scrapping so much just to cram more coasters into a small space. I think S:TE is the nail in the coffin for that, they took out the skyride, ruined the 'Japanese' tea garden themeing that worked with Ninja, besides being a fairly ugly ride (Tower of Terror in Austrailia looks okay, S:TE is just a big black contraption that they decided to put at the park's highest point)

To be fair, PGA also scrapped their train a while back, but they have so little space that they had an excuse.

Well no one goes to SFMM to ride a train, but if it was moving from 50 to 100 mph then that's another story.

I don't know what your talking about SFMM has one of the best skylines in the entire world. There is nothing like flying down the the 5 and seeing Superman,Colossus, Goliath, RRV, all in one view it's an awesome site for coaster lovers and amusement park lovers in general.

IMO those skyride things are ugly and i'm glad most parks got rid of thiers,  Also SFMM could expand their monorail if they wanted too i'm sure. Also they have a train funicular(sp) called Orient Express that takes you up/down the side of the mountain so you don't have to walk.

It just that most people don't even bother to use the Orient express nor the monorail then complain about it later. The monorail is closed ofter for lack of staff supposedly but the Orient express is always open.

Far as theming goes SFMM has themed RRV, Superman, Batman,Goliath, and X, with great theming. They might not be in the right area's of the park that it's themed for lol but the themes are great anyway. Also even though SFMM isn't huge on theme their landscaping is beautiful enough to make up for it imo. SFMM uses it's natural surroundings to it's fullest, where else can you go and be in the forrest one second, the dessert the next, and mountain climbing all in one trip lol

Of course SFMM could use improvements what park couldn't? Some of you people are just not willing to give these places a chance to improve, but you still paying money to vist these parks that you so call dislike I just don't get it. I know if I don't like a park b/c of certain things that I just had to complain about over and over agin I know I wouldn't be spending darn near 50 bucks to go to that park.

Also imo why is SFMM bashed more then any other amusement park in the world lol, It's like all you hear is "SFMM getting another coaster", "SFMM suck" over and over again.

I don't think a park that's getting over 3 1/2 million vistors a year has over 2 hundred thousand season passholders is that bad of a park or else they wouldn't be getting half the people they get throught their gates.

Anyways I don't care what anyone says SFMM has been improving over the years and if you just give the park a chance I'm sure the park will only get better and better.

Bring back the train with the buffalos! Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the coasters...but it's nice to chill on a train or skyride in between. I'm really disappointed that PGA took out their train. I loved how it got up-close and personal with most of their coasters.

Yeeee Haaawwww!
Parks should NEVER get new woodies once they PROVE they won't take good care of their existing woodies.  That goes for SFGAdv and SFMM both.  Take good care of the woodies you ALREADY have, then address the idea of a new one...
