is it possible to have a 6 hour wait for a ride?
Revolutionary, no gender wars to be started here, but are you male or female?? I just want to know. When a trip to CP is made, it's now $80 for admissions and parking (wife included). 3 or 4 soda pops ($10.00), and since we go with 4 or 5 other couples we create a huge feast to eat next to the Blue Streak all day ($30-40). Ok, I said $200, usually I (we) spend around $150 tops after I win a few stuffed animals (with my manly arm!). But if someone said, here's $200 go spend it at an amusement park and this is the last one you can go to, which one will you travel to?? Please answer the pre-listed question...
Riverbeast, I DO agree, I'm jealous of my uncle and cousins in West Palm Beach. They go to IOA three times a year. What a place. And it will expand to a 'Mega Park' in the next 10 years.

And, by the way Revolutionary, I give you the "Jim Rome" props for traveling to Sandusky OH. You truly have my appreciation.

All I'm saying is, most people would be so thrilled to have CP, PKI and SFO in their state. The fact that one may not be quite up to par with the others would be irrelevant to me, I would still have 3 top notch parks to choose from during the summer. How many people can say that?
Hmmm, well the best souvenirs can be gotten at Disneyland and they got pretty good food too. Maybe I would go there. Besides being a SC resident I get in cheaper, BOOYAH!! See but Im a cheapskate so I would take the money and run. Id rather buy a 29 cent Hamburger at McDonalds than a 6.50 burger at an amusement park.

I remember waiting 3 hours for the Beast... But 6!?!?... That's stretchin' it. The only thing i can think to do is get to the park at the butt crack of dawn, wait til they open then run like hell!!!! *LOL*
I don't know where it was I heard that at but it is just what I heard. Also I didn't mean Power Tower was a coaster, but Cedar Point could count it as two rides too increase there ride count.

Kings Island shouldn't even try to compete with CP. When half of your coasters are built for kiddies, no one in the coaster world will take you seriously. Besides, the big kid coasters they do have are broken down all the time. Last time I was there, Beast was stuck halfway up the lifthill for the entire day. CP rules!
Thanks for all of the replies!!! I know a lot more about PKI then I did.
Hey has anyone out there ridden SOB yet? It has simply gotten the most amazing early reviews I have ever read on a coaster, and those who have ridden it have immidiately ranked it as #1. I can't wait, I'll be riding it in June! Go PKI!
I was there yesterday and it wasn't open. It wasn't open today either. I'm less than pleased.

Man we were planning a coaster trip going to Six Flags Ohio, Cedar Point and PKI. I am glad that we decided to wait on PKI till later that season.
Wow, that's not good... I hope they have the problem fixed by June 3rd when I get there. Stealth was closed on it's opening day. It broke down about 2:00pm and never came back up. Everyone was angry, as though PGA purposely broke the ride down. Awesome ride though, and I'm sure SOB will be the same...
The simple fact of the matter is that they opened the ride before it was ready. The thing was running for barely a week. They announced it would be open because they knew the potential impact on attendance if it wasn't. They gambled and lost.

Oh well, that's what season passes are for. It gives you all summer to ride. I never leave home without em... :0)
Why did PKI do this??? ah...uhm....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Does this answer your question?

Yo Bob Im in Lakeside, about 20 minutes east of San Diego. And Bob I was in Buffalo last summer. They got a nice Ballpark but I didnt to get to hit SFDL.

From what I heard, They did count Gemini as two coaster and dropped Jr. Gemini and Woodstock because you have to be a child to ride. I really don't think that kiddie coasters should count consitering the fact that they are not for the General Public and are made for Children.

But they did count their own kiddie coaster in that, and it makes Jr. Gemini look like Magnum! This site is by no means official, but CoasterBuzz.com recognizes 12 coasters at PKI, 14 at Cedar Point.
