Who has been on Alpengiest ?

Montu and Alpengeist Both represent the best in B&M. They both have such creative designs and perfect pace.
Its my favorite inverted coaster. Its a great ride and also has a great theme. The total package for a coaster and unusual for a non-disney park to have a great themed coaster!
well Busch parks have some of the best themeing i think

My only ride ever was in the back row, and it was the most intense invert I have ever done.
I have,last year.
It's funny but it just didn't really seem that big when your on it.
I loved the last part of this ride, with the little snow covered houses and stuff right after you hit the mid-course brakes that seem to jam you almost to a crawl.
It's a really intense fun ride.:) *** This post was edited by DirtyVern on 8/14/2001. ***
This is my all time favorite roller coaster. It beats out Magnum which was my #1 for 5 years. The six inversions are amazing. The cobra roll was great. It is a great ride.
Alpengeist is the only B&M inverted that I have been on, but I must say it is truly great. The speed and height are worth the ride. Not to mention fantastic theming. :)
I rode Alpengeist back in '99. It is the best inverted coaster I've been on.(been on Dueling Dragons and Raptor also) The pacing of the elements is great. I rode it 12 times in one day. I would not recommend riding it three times in under half an hour. By the end of the third ride, I was a little dizzy.
My fav invert too, but I must say that my reasoning is based more on the theming...I like the height, spped and elements too, but the REAL reason is cuz I LOVE the theming. Done by a St. Louis company named Suzanne Sessions, Inc. (yes, I looked it up). Wanted to get a job with them, theming parks/coasters is SO COOL - no luck tracking them down though, and I really looked hard (I-yellowpages, everything I could think of).

rollergator - intent on improving the "guest experience" - coming soon to a park near you
This is definitely my favorite inverter. I agree that part of the greatness of the ride the theming and the whole atmosphere of the park but the ride is a spectactular thing to watch. The monster drop intimidates you along with the Cobra roll over the "Rhine" river. This is a great ride!

Paramount Carowinds: Forgotten but not Gone
I really wasn't all that impressed with it. Don't get me wrong, it's a spectacular ride and I would love to get there more often, but I didn't feel it lived up to all the hype I'd heard about it before I rode it. Awesome ride, but I agree with RoLLeRCoaSterBoB, it just didn't surpass Raptor.

The coolest thing i think about it is that it's buried into the woods.

Alpie is great! I had the pleasure of riding it about 30 times this summer, my final ride being last week right before I relocated to Texas. The drop is great and it sends you into a huge immelman. The cobra roll is powerful. I would definitely ride it, and you most likely will not have to wait anywhere near an hour. I didn't go on Saturdays but these times were fairly accurate for others day of the week. Front seat usually is about 40 minutes and for the back or any other row is anywhere from 10-25 minutes usually. Of course there are days when it backs up a little more. I think on the 4th of July I waited about 30 minutes for the back.
Alpengeist. Just like flying around in a stunt show biplane! In other words, one hell of a ride!
I rode it and I was very disappointed, I like Batman more and after riding Apollo's Chariot with that gut wrenching airtime it makes the wilde maus look like Millenium Force!
It's my favorite invert, but when I when I went the line wasn't an hour. It was like 15 minutes or so.
Is it very tall ?

and whats its  top speed, isnt it like 60 or 65 mph ?

And very very fast
