Does anyone have an idea on which side we will be launched from?
By this I mean...will we be launched UP the right side of the Tower (Red & White track) and race DOWN the left side...or luanch on the up the left and race down on the right? Either way will be an awsome experience!!
I really can't tell right now from the Webcam PICs...any thoughts?
The launch will most likely be on the side with the 90 degree twist and the red and white track.

I think the general consensus is up the right and down the left.
Yes, HurricaneGeauga, that's been known for quite some time.
EDIT - or to make it as clear as possible: up the red and white tracked side.

Wow.
Yes it is only launch (100+ mph) straight up into the air, top hat (400+ feet in the air), twist (260 degrees straight down), brakes.
Pretty lame, huh?
Alrightee then...NOW I can finally start my dream sequenses for the next 5 months...
Let's hope this "Dragster" doesn't over heat, like our friend the "Wicker Twister". Does it still have the tendency to do that very once in awhile?
I haven't ridden it since June (Coastermania '02)

Wow you rode Wicked Twister at Coastermania? How did you manage that, it was down all day.

Coming in 2003-The Spawn Of Magnum!
Yes Virginia, I am Santa Claus!
I AM WITTY!
Since the ride is so short... I mean appears to be short... maybe the ride will go around the track twice? That would make for an interesting ride.

Your right...Ok, I guess I should have been a bit more clearer...I was there on Thursday, the day before Coastermania. I arrived at about 3:30p and I managed to secure two rides.
The first ride was up front (always up front on my first ride...) it was very cool. Then the second one was in back, it was AWESOMELY EXTREME. I will ALWAYS ride in the back on WT. It is the best by far!!
CP 16 does not use the same system of launch as Wicked Twister. There are no LIM's to get overheated. It will be the hydrolic launch from a bob-cable, like Xcelerator.
Thanks Soggy, I did not know that...

Another problem that would cause is there are no banked turns on the ride. Of course the ride may slow and go back into the station, but that is not only impractical but uneconomical. Think of the amount of power that would be used for the launchs and brakes, and think of all the stress the brakes and train would recieve from constantly stopping, launching, stopping, launching, etc. etc.

To sum it all up:
The down side is closest to Millie Island.
One ride per admission.

It also means that the train has to make a complete stop in the loading platform to hook onto the catapult sled. The hydraulic cable/pulley system isn't electromagnetic so it can't be non-stop continual.

Actually kRaXLeRidAh - I'm a firm believer that there will be a launch brake so the train can pull out of the station and the other 2 (I'm also a firm believer that it'll be 3trains) can pull into the appropriate stations before launching, Kind've like Rockin Rollercoaster at Disney. It would save on loading times and help the capacity out abit IMO.
Either way, there is no chance in hell it'll go around twice :)
