Which Coasters Should be Sold for Scrap?

You hear a lot of people talk about their favorite coasters on these sites.......but you rarely hear which ones people really DIS-like. What are some of the coasters that you feel should be condemned to dismantling either because of boring layout, safety concerns, or the just plain "sick of the sight of it" factor?
We "rarely hear about the ones people dis-like"? Yeah right! anyway, All rough SLCs and Boomarangs should be scrapped.

Though I couldn't disagree with you more over "dislikes"...we talk about it everyday, Disaster Transport at Cedar Point should be sold for scraps. Create a reef out on Lake Erie.

I think that all Vekoma's feet hangs should be dismanteled because they are everywhere! They are ruff coasters and they get very old after a short time.
I think this forum should be closed because no coasters are bad. They're just........... different!

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

How can somehing become very old after a short period of time? I think you're refering to it aging badly.

Rollercoasters are my life, I think about them more than I think about....wait, thats all I think about :)

no coaster should be scrapped! If it was really that bad and the park didn't want it they would always find someone to take it (me for example :))

i don't feel like putting anything here

Sure, ANY park will give you a coaster that they don't want, but only if you have millions of dollars to give them ;)

I agree with this 100%.

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!

Some people don't even have coasters where they live. Be fortunate that you even have coasters.
no coaster should be scrapped, but if you have to scrap some, scrap the clones. that way you're knocking out some, but still have the original. and the only reason a coaster should be scrapped is if the law requires it, or if it is about to topple over on its own and needs to be taken down for safety reasons.

I disagree, we all know Disaster transport isn't the greatest, but I still think it's fun. I only think the building around it should be torn down, by looking at pictures of it, it looked a lot more fun being in the outdoors.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

Don't tear down DT! It's the closest I've ever been to Alaska. ;)

I agree that no coaster should be torn down. Just relocated. Unless they want to reuse the steel for an even better coaster. Something like they did with SP/PR.

Shockwave at SFGAm should be scrapped. It's become so rough over the years as to become unrideable, IMO.

Corkscrew at Cedar Point!

Viper at SFGAdv. TAER IT DOWN!!!!! LOL!

RRCers know what I'm talking about.

Twister II at SFEG, not only is it rough, it isn't exciting, it takes up too much space for the small park, and I hear over and over again it is a disgrace to the original. They should either make it a exact replica, or change the name, or take it down and build a good woodie. But if they have that much money might as well build a impulse behind it right?
You guys don't appreciate the finer things in life, namely Arrow Megaloopers. I remeber when Corkscrew was the greatest thing on Eartrh, to take it out would be sacrilidge (SP), and it doesn't take up hardly any space at all. And while Avalanche Run was neat outside, it was a snoozefest. Distaster Transport in the dark is a lot more interesting then Avalanche Run was outside.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

RubberDucky: I seriously cut up my knee on that ride. there was a bolt sticking out of the side of the car and the laterals just kept banging my knee into it. oh, that ride definatly sucked, but that park needs all the coasters it can get, even if they do suck.

Think about the people in third world countries that don't even know what a coaster is. Think about the kids who live in poverty and can't afford to go to amusement parks. Think about people who live in Alaska.

We should enjoy all that we do have. Every coaster I can think of has its place in the grand scheme of coasters. They all have thier place in the amusement world. Some illistrate the history of our great hobbie, good or bad, and some may be boaring to you but what about young, new coaster freeks who are frightned of the really big rides.

I'll respect the opionins of all who post here but I will not agree with them.
