I just asked a question. I didn't know there were parking lots back there, why do people on this board have to be so critical of a simple comment. Give me a person on this board who is 100 percent accurate all the time.
Oh by the way slithernoggin, I'm guessing a good amount of the general public doesn't believe in Santa Clause. I bet you find that annopying too.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
I believe in Santa Claus, T-R. I hear there's at least one , maybe three, pretty good roller coasters there.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

But it wasn't a simple "I'm not familiar, what's the scoop" comment. It's driving around the whole park, it's traffic is a nightmare, it's youre sure there's hell trying to get out, it's a three hour wait, it's the worst coaster on the planet, blah blah blah.
We've all made complaints here about one thing or another, that's always part of a lively discussion. We also come up with compliments and nice things to say about parks and each other. Sorry, you come across as a bitter pill who never has a nice thing to say. About anything ever. Once again, it's tiring.
I find that it eases the soul to imagine T-R as some sort of cartoon character. Right now it's this:
And no, not the big dog...
Parallel lines on a slow decline.
I know you guys are trying to help him out, but maybe it's best if T-R just parks in the front.
Going to piggy back on this topic:
I'll be leaving Pittsburgh this Sunday morning (got a wedding Saturday) and heading toward Sandusky. If it were up to me I'd be on the road by 5 or 6 to get to the park by 9(ish?) for early entry as we're staying at Breakers. However depending on how drunk/sloppy the wedding reception is, leaving the hotel by 6 might be unreasonable.
To continue, apparently when you buy CP tickets together with a hotel package there is no option to print park tickets yourself, so when we get to the park we're going to have to drive around and get our tickets at Breakers, which is a little annoying but I know - first world problems at their finest.
We're also doing Fastlane+ for at least Sunday as I'm suspecting the place will be a madhouse. Can anyone confirm we can use our printed Fastlane vouchers to get wrist bands at any of the entrances? It would be nice to be able to grab ours at the Challenge Park entrance and then immediately head to the back of the park but I'd hate to walk over there and then have to walk to the main gate to get our wrist bands.
Anyway, we'll also be there Monday for early entry so I think between that and Fastlane+ on Sunday we should be pretty good to go.
And if you had just asked a question or two...
Is it easy to get to by car? .... Can you park in that bigger lot as well? I have never driven back to that part of the park.
...no big woo. Each of them a legitimate question. But then you slipped on your crap colored glasses...
I'm guessing you have to drive all the way around the whole park to get there.
Perhaps it wasn't your intent, but this comes off as whining. My first thought was, he's driven "all" the way from Michigan and "all" the way across the causeway, but driving "all" the way around the park becomes a burden too great to be borne?
I could go on....

I'd rather drive around to breakers than fight traffic in the front lot...
And the way I understand those cut-in-line passes is you can get them several places throughout the park.

One of my favorite cartoons! You do know that the little dog eventually ends up with the power, and the big dog becomes his bitch.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
This thread was helpful with a question I have, but did not fully answer it..
I am planning a trip to coastermania this year. Considering booking a lakeview cabin for a mid day nap. Rather than something in town or my usual Breakers Express. Is it a big hike to the Cabins? and is the entrance by Magnum the best route in and out to the Cabins?
Also for the initial registration is the Main gate the only gate? I assume it is.
Thanks in advance for any help.
The cabins aren’t too far from the magnum gate.
Check a park map, it’s online.
Yes, the CP Shores entrance is the best. The walk isn’t bad, especially if you consider the miles traveled on foot in the park. The cabins and cottages are right across perimeter road from Steel Vengeance, so...
I’d also think it would be better than driving out of the park, time wise, right?
I don’t attend the event so I don’t know about registration, but I can’t imagine it would be anywhere but the front gate.
Yes yes and yes.
We stayed at Sandcastle Suites for CoasterMania! the last 2 years. The walk back to the hotel at the end of the night sucked. Pretty sure the lakefront cabins are further.
If you’re walking, the Resorts/Shores gate will really be your only option. You can’t walk on Perimeter Rd.
In past years registration for CoasterMania! was front gate only. You could either drive to the front gate or take the shuttle. Can’t walk from any of the hotels; again can’t walk on Perimeter Rd or the Causeway.
But then again, what do I know?
Sandcastle was the farthest walk you could possibly take from that gate. And it is possible to walk to the front from the hotels now with the expanded boardwalk.
Hey, let's ride (random Intamin coaster). What? It's broken down? I totally didn't expect that.
The boardwalk won't get you to the main gate will it? I thought it only goes to the Windseaker entrance.
With the boardwalk expansion this year it’ll get you to the main gate.
Forgot about the boardwalk expansion...
I dunno, those cabins & cottages along the lakefront definitely look like a longer hike than Sandcastle Suites from the Resorts gate near Magnum.

But then again, what do I know?
