Which Cedar Point Entrance?

I always park in the Gemini lot.

There are no parking spots for park visitors at the Marina gate, Timber-Rider. While there is limited parking there, it is more intended for people whit boats, employees who live at Cedars, and people visiting Famous Dave's. It is also for people processing season passes. Security guards posted at the parking lot gates will not allow you to enter. You could walk there from the main lot if you want to though.

The Marina gate is located between Cadillac Cars and the Cedar Point Cinema. Don't make me draw you a map. lol

The Gemini lot is open to anyone, but it is kind of small and it can be difficult to find a parking space. I parked there many times when I worked at the park. Unless it has changed, it is kind of difficult to get across the street to get to the Soak City lot when you park there, and the Soak City lot will take you to the main entrance. Finding your way to the Gemini Employee Entrance is easy from there though.

The marina gate entrance is directly across Perimeter Rd. from Blue Streak's lift hill. As Travis said, you're typically not permitted to park there unless you're in the marina or going to Famous Daves.

The best way to the entrance from the Gemini lot is to walk through the lot towards Magnum. There is a cross walk behind Ripcord's towers. Cross the road there, take a right and walk under Magnum. Stay to the left along the go kart track and it'll take you right to the gate.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Yeah, but that's nowhere near Gatekeeper.

It is if you sprint.

Timber Rider always parks mid-magnum.

I park mid-Gemini.

I always make a bee-line for the burrito stand.

I make a bee-line to Gatekeeper!

I'll make a bee-line for the fastpass

Well I went today and used the main entrance. I was first in, and walked briskly to gatekeeper, to find lots of people already the who had come in from the wind seeker entrance. So anyone wishing to get there quick, use the wind seeker entrance but get there before 08:30.

Those people in front of you could have also sprinted instead of walked briskly. lol

I'm guessing that the walk is about a half a mile.

The walk as you mapped it is between 2500 and 2600 feet. You're pretty much dead on.

Hey, 1/2 mile only takes 3 minutes...

If you're sprinting at a 3 minute 1/2 mile pace.

I'm guessing the big parking lot between Gemini and Soak city is the Gemini lot? If so, it might be a useful entrance to a quick run to Top thrill dragster. So, I can get that out of the way before the line gets too long. I will expect to wait for a while for Gatekeeper, but, from what I have seen of early park admission, with only one admission booth open, it's kinda pointless. As, I'm sure the line would be very long.

I didn't do it! I swear!!

The Gemini lot is just across the street from that lot, Timber. It is the very small parking lot that boarders Gemini.

Is it easy to get to by car? I'm guessing you have to drive all the way around the whole park to get there. I'm sure that the general public doesn't know about the lots back there. Can you park in that bigger lot as well? I have never driven back to that part of the park. I'm guessing it would be hell getting out of there at night, when everyone is leaving the park.

How early are the toll booths open? I would try to get there as early as I could, but I would bet that traffic would be a nightmare. We tried to drive into the park at 9:30 once, and it was bumper to bumper cars, backed up all the way onto 250. That was the year that Mean Streak Opened. In which we waited 3 hours and 45 minutes in line. No to mention the hour and a half sitting in traffic waiting to get there.

Back when Mean Streak was butter smooth, and insane as hell. When there was no trim on the first drop. Now, the worst coaster on the planet.

Timber-Rider, the Gemini and Soak City lots are open to the public. Use the far left toll booth, keep to the left and drive around to the back of the park. At the end of the day it is not as bad as you might think getting out of those lots. The traffic is pretty much non-stop. That is usually where I park. The main toll booth is open 24 hours. The Soak City/Resort Gate is next to those lots and the closest gate to TTD and Maverick.

Jeez. Yes, it's very, very easy to get there by car. Visitors to Hotel Breakers, Sandcastle Suites, Soak City, Challenge Park, Camper Village, and the cabins use the Perimeter road and the parking lot there all the time. Lots of visitors are aware of its existence, that lot gets full. It's a good place to park, and it's no big secret.
The toll booths are manned 24 hours a day. Like we've said to you before, people come and go to and from Cedar Point all day and all night. Get to the far left, there's a sign that says Soak City, Hotel Breakers as a clue. I don't know what time they begin to allow parking in the lots, maybe the park can tell you. It's early, much earlier than 9:30.
I hope the 5 minute drive clear around the park to get there isn't too taxing for you. After all, you just drove in clear the hell from Michigan, right? By doing so you get beautiful and different views of Sandusky Bay, the Marina, Millenium Force, C.P.&L.E.R.R, Maverick, Mean Streak, Gemini, and Magnum.
I can't speak for everyone here, but I'm wondering if you will ever stop using this place as your little complaint box. You're Wearing. Me. Out.

It's not even complaints - especially if they're valid.

I just think that I've never known anyone in my life who so often and consistently sees the world through crap colored glasses.

Everything sucks. Every new experience is going to probably be hard. Every old experience is a bad memory.

That gets taxing to read. I can't imagine living it.

Everything sucks, there's always an excuse...sometimes I do read through his walls of text and then I wonder: if he finds so many aspects of amusement parks so unbearable, why does he keep going to amusement parks?
