Where will you close out the 2009 season?

The second week of November will be spent at BGT, Sea World, andIOA/Universal. A quick trip to Old Town and FunSpot will thrown in too.

My plan for the rest of 2009 as of right now.

KBF: Tomorrow and one more visit after that, most likely in early December. I am leaning towards the week of 12/7, so that school won't be out yet.

SFMM: At least once in November, probably either on 11/15 or 11/29. I have a free "Select Sunday" ticket in my value book which is valid on 11/29 or 12/27. If my dad wants to go, we will go on 11/29 so that he can get in free. Otherwise, I might still go that day or move it up to 11/15 if I don't want to wait the extra two weeks. There is also some possibility that I will go both days. I will also go once in December, probably on 12/22.

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.
2010 total visits: SFMM-9, KBF-2
2010 total ride laps: 437

If you live in southern California you have no seasons!

For us it will be KI and Diamondback. My daughter loves DB and even though I have found that many of the KI fans finish the season on Beast, we will be riding a certain snake.

Dave, why do you love the Diamondback so much?! Hopefully you'll agree with me that Intimidator will be much better! Also, when will you go to Magic Mountain?

Ha ha. Sounds like the perfect time to go to an amusement park to me! I WISH my winters were just a rainy season, instead we get cold rainy, sleet and snow season.

I only went to a couple of places this year. I was going to end with PPP, but my friends and I decided to go to CP on Sunday (my first and only visit this year). Now, I'm done.

You'd be surprised how much more enjoyable and fun parks, and coasters are, when you don't visit them every week.

I'm guessing my final visit for the year, other than maybe Hershey Christmas Candylane, will be Dollywood in November or December when Tina and several other friends usually meet up. It's been an annual tradition since 2004.

Tig, I said that my daughter's favorite was Diamondback. I do like it for the air time just not as much as others that we have ridden this year.

As to the Timmy's I will have to ride them to make a determination of which one I like better.

Magic Mountain will have to wait till next year. This is coming to our busy time at work. Since I am self employed, taking time off when we are busy is quite detrimental to my wallet.

I probably ended things at Knoebels for PhunPhest. But it's possible I will get to Hersheypark in the Dark.

Oddly, it looks like I will be closing the season out at Castaway Bay. I'm not as keen on going to outdoor parks when the temp is under 55 degrees as I was when I was a younger man.

I was just at castaway bay on monday. Here are a couple of pictures from there......

I have to say that I was not impressed with castaway bay. I don't know if it was the lack of things to do, or the pointless wave pool.

I guess after going to kalahari, other indoor waterparks seem boring.

Yeah, I'm not even a fan of indoor (or outdoor) water parks. But when your seven year old wants to go....

...you tell them to get over it.

:)

I thought their body slides at Castaway were better (and faster) than Kalahari's. And the Zip coaster pales in comparison to the Master Blaster. If Castaway had a FlowRider, I would have spent half as much money as I did last summer because I wouldn't have gone to Kalahari so much (I could have saved money on a season pass that cost as much as a CF pass, I went that many times!). :)

I'll be at SFGAm for closing day and it will most likely be my season closer (unless I can somehow find a way down to Dollywood during their Christmas event)

My season already ended on Diamondback. The same place it started.

My name is Mike, and I'm a coasterholic.

Must not make a comment about Nasai and his thrill ride in his living room. :)

Nov. 14th, at Magic Mountain. I'll be out in Cali for the Chargers/Eagles game that weekend, and plan on riding Terminator on the Saturday. More than likely, I'll finish up the night back down in SD, on the Giant Dipper.

So if anyone wants to see what an ACE member looks like, Without the gravy stains, and wanton desire to flash his membership card in everyones face, come on out to Magic Mountain.
