When will the GP stop being so "steel"?

Viper at SFGAm has long lines a couple of times in "the" day. I waited 45 minutes to ride one time.

I personally prefer steel because steel is smoother (depending on when it was built). A lot of wooden coasters that I have ridden are rough and painful. Steel coasters can be launched, and go backwards.

Steel coasters can be in this type:
Floorless
Inverted
Sit-down
Stand-up
Hypercoaster
Giga-coaster

The only reason SOB has a line is because its PKI's newest edition.  In about five or six years, I guarantee that the line on SOB will be down to 20-30 minutes.  I think the only reason the GP dont like to many wooden coasters is because they are going with the flow of technology.  They are looking for something big with speed, or something different.  They think that most wooden coasters have the same feeling, and secondly, they think that they just arent fun enough for them, even though they are extremely fun.  They are always going to pick the taller and faster.  If you are at CP, which are you going to take,  Mean Streak or Gemini.  Any other park would have close to the same comparison.

The GP is not stupid. They can just as easily tell a wooden coaster that's not well taken care of as we can. The lines for Ghostrider are always the longest in the park. Your not going to find those same type of lines for Psyclone or Raging Wolf Bobs. I don't blame the GP, why ride a rough wooden coaster when you can ride a smooth B&M? If you notice, rough steel coasters have short lines as well.Customers don't go to parks to be beat up, they usually go with family and want a ride the whole family can enjoy. The great wooden coasters will be appreciated, the others? Why bother?

But I disagree, I think the GP loves wood, but GOOD wood, not mediocre wood.

If you think the lines for SOB will be down to 20 minutes in 5 years explain to me why the wait for Beast is always about an hour at least when it is over 20 years old?

... or why the wait for Hersheypark's Comet is usually between 45 minutes to an hour... even with a very efficient 2 train operation?

"I wasn't always this cynical, but then I started kindergarden..."

Ive never waited more than 20 min for the beast, and I go to PKI every year.
Well I only waited a half an hour for raptor on saturday too so whats that mean?
Jeremy (2Hostyl) I loved Viper at SFGrAm as the smoothest woodie I have ever ridden. Also, Sceaming Eagle is very smooth too. I know they aren't hypers, but they are as smooth as almost all the steel coasters I have ever ridden.
