What's the next CF removal

Cripe, I don't post for a few months and come back to miss some fun! I clicked on 4 different accounts and none of them exist! Now the lot of you are back on the pancake thing and the thread has been hijacked to a Laser Lovefest/Hatefest!

I don't care if it's braked down to a shadow of itself - which it totally is - the minute I see someone calling for Mindbender (SFOG) to go bye-bye, I'm gonna flip out.

Mindbender has its days...I prefer events for Mindbender ERT sessions. It's no SFoT Shockwave, but it's still MILES better than Arrow or B&M loopers. The day you hear me asking for ERT on MM's Revulsion, THEN you've got news...LOL!

If Dorney doesnt want Laser anymore send it over to MIA. That seems like the perfect park for such a classic ride, IMO.

Shockwave and Mindbender are definitely top of the heap for me (with Shockwave quite a bit above Mindbender) but I too have little love for the compact Anton's and even the shuttle loopers <ducks>.

Well, PCWo has never removed a coaster. I think some are going to start being removed to make way for new attractions. If anything, Minebuster will be removed because IMO, its just a horrible ride, more like SPINEbuster. Dragon Fire also, for being as old as it is, it's still really smooth but is on a pretty nice size of land. Same goes with SkyRider. But then again PCWo does have some free room still, the biggest mistake Paramount ever made was selling the land around the park to allow houses to be built right up to the park fence, BRUTAL.

I thought I heard that Laser was to get an extensive upgrade for 2007.

As for rides to go, I'll bet the remaining Togo Stand-Ups will be on the block soon. CF have had bad experiences with that company, plus, they are getting up in years and the capacity is only so-so... especially with those bar seatbelts.

You'll see an extensive "house cleaning" at all the Paramount Parks, but none of which are as bad as Geauga Lakes ride issues.

^ Let's just say (for the sake of discussion purposes) that CF watches the rehab of ME @ NYNY. What's the possibility of rehabbing the Togo stand-ups rather than removing them? Just a thought.... :)

i know its rickety, and has poor capacity, but i love Laser. simply because your brain gets pulled into your abdomen in those vertical loops lol. and while i havnt made it yet to SFOT, Mindbender at SFOG is probably towards the top of my steel looper list. I LOVE that ride...that coaster alone is worth the 8 hour drive to Atlanta for me (havnt yet been on Goliath lol)

What's so bad about Laser? For being compact that is one intense ride. I had slight grey outs going through the second loop each time I rode it.

I worked at CP again this season after a few years off, and had the chance to meet CPNut, or Josh as I knew him. He was a nice enough guy. A little cocky, but so am I.

Funny story about Josh...he got fired from CP for bad coaster riding behavior on The Voyage at HW. From what I had heard from a very good source, he and a lot of other CP employees refused to allow their lapbar to go down as far as the ride hosts wanted, and got into an arguement with the rides manager. If only they had not "bragged" about working at CP to the ride hosts at HW, they may have gotten away with just getting kicked out of the park. Someone at HW contacted someone at CP, and the whole gang of them got fired the next morning.

...Or maybe that was a sad story.

I have celiac disease (on top of the Type 1 diabetes -- both are autoimmune disorders, so it's actually not that uncommon to have that duo). Atkins was a quack, but that trendy diet HAS made life easier for celiacs -- ordering "burger, no bun" doesn't get quite the same reaction anymore. Of course, when I say "And a side of fries and a shake", THEN I get the weird look :)

It won't happen, but to get back to the "Next CF removal" topic, howsabout ditching that horrid Junior SLC "Runaway Reptar" at Carowinds?

I sure wouldn't miss it.
