What will the 400+ foot coaster be called?

The Jet Coaster, has got the idea. We've discussed this before, and thought that they would be named like computer terms.

Megabyte - Hyper/Megacoaster

Gigabyte - Gigacoaster

Terabyte - Teracoaster

Etc.

A don't see why you couldn't build something over Lake Erie because of the freezing. It doesn't freeze all the way through and if that is the case then BKF's footers at SFWoA should be all cracked right now, but guess what the concrete part of the footers is not under water so the water would not freeze in them to make them crack. I do believe that a rollercoaster could be boult in part over Lake Erie.
Why build a 400+ feet coaster??? The most important thing on a coaster is its layout!!!!!!!!!!
Hello? WHERE THE F**K DOES CP HAVE ROOM FOR A 400+ COASTER! I'm looking at the map right now...hmmmmmmmm, interesting...NO ROOM ANYWHERE!
Get yourself a new map.

**THE TERA-COASTER**. Figure it out. In metric measure, the line of size goes from Mega, to Giga, and then to Tera. So why not apply that to coasters? 400 footers should be called the tera coaster.

Could anyone have thought there was enough room to build MF along the Frontier Trail? No, so why wouldn't there be any room to build a 400 footer. Trust me, I can think of several places.
We've already discussed this, and once again, Cedar Point does not have a space problem. I don't know if they'd stick to the metric and call it a Teracoaster, but I would probably just call it a "really-really-big-coaster!"

I did it like this, I did it like that, I didn it with a wiffle ball bat.. ohhh

"Teracoaster" doesn't sound good though. I think it'll be something like ultracoaster. I don't necessarily think they're going by the Metric system with these titles.

The maps of parks are never acurate towards space and acreage. Does MF look like MF on that map? Not really... There is space trust me. Go to guidetothepoint.com there was a huge discussion over there awhile back

PCW needs something taller than a boomerang
expensive- i also couldn't resist ;)
yes, but i think thatz how they got Mega and Giga. Both are parts of a metric measuring system, and although Ultra-coaster and Gamma-coaster sound cool, Tera-coaster would be the proper definition. But hey, there's another name for Mega-coasters-the Hyper-coaster, so maybe 400+ could have 2 names?

If you are thinkng of building it over Camper Village, you can't becasue the peeps living there would go crazy about the people on the ride screaming by as it goes by their campers. Where would they start it?

Wherever they want. To quote Jeff and dozens of others familiar with this argument: "CP does not have a space problem." 'Nuff said.

As for naming, I hadn't connected the mega- giga- tera- sequence, that may be quite likely. But they may just stick to gigacoaster, because coasters over 300' are probably not likely to become quite as common (if you want to call it that) as coasters over 200'. They needed something to distinguish between them, but now I don't think a 400' coaster will be around anytime soon. But I'm sure that's what everyone said in 1989, too! ;)

Im not sure but doesnt intamin have these things planned out already?
Isnt four hundred Mega
and 500 ultra?
Well if you consider fish hook a coaster that is 700+ ft. (when it is built) so what will that be called?
Probably "Something I'd have to think long and hard about before riding."

I am with Teracoaster.

Cedar Point does have a lot of space. There are many places to put a new ride. Check out guide to the point and search for the topic.

I agree with the teracoaster. I know that most people are not familiar with the metric system so they haven't really heard of tera, but with hard drives getting bigger we may begin to hear a little more about terabytes in the future. That would help to solidify in people's mind the concept of the tera prefix.
