Ive been wondering this ever since i heard about MF being called the Giga coaster. What will they call the first 400-foot coaster? I know the S:TE is 400' but they didnt classify it under a specific name for its height.
Anyway, i thought they would call it either a ultra coaster or gamma coaster.

CP in 2002, get to the point
Whatever the park/manufacturer comes up with for advertising.
-------------
There are currently 11 coasters with the name Batman, 8 with the name Superman and 22 with the name Boomerang. Batman and Superman: The Ultimate Chiller Knight Flight Krypton Escape Ride.

I'd say, the 400 foot coaster will be called, Sky High because I feel that the name fits with anything that is 400 feet or higher.
I guess we will just have to wait and see what it is called when CEDAR POINT decides they want one!
;)

That depends on if they have the space. Put that thing over water, if they get one! ;)
CP has the space. Remember the rumors of a coaster along the causeway? ;)

Well isn't Superman 400ft?

If FoF got that great of a makeover than why can't I?
I think he is referring to a traditional coaster, man.
(Please let there be no is S:TE a coaster debate!)

I heard that CP CAN'T build a coaster over the lake because in the Winter when the Lake freezes, it would hurt the supports in the water and might make it crack.
Yeah it wouldn't be verysmart for cp to build a coaster over the lake. For one they would have to put in new supports every few years. Also they would have to that spot some how and that would be expensive as all get out. Lets just say if they were to put a 400 footer there they wouldn't need to worry about the room because the it would just go over everything :)

If they really wanted to CP would find room for a 400 foot coaster..besides, I am very confident, and well assured, CP does "not have a space problem" ;)

I don't care what the manufacture calls it I will call it Hyper to the second power.
It is called Superman: The Escape! ;) O boy here we go look what I have done, I couldn't resisit!
I hope we never see 400 foot 'traditional' coasters.
Besides being a mechanical headache, I don't know how we can safely build one. The wheels would have to be like 24 inches in diameter and they'd replace them every two days. I can't see it happening.
Besides, a 400 foot drop freaks the hell out of me.

It's coming...
I can understand how a 400 ft drop would scare you, but.....
That doesn't make much sense, GenuineCynic. Coaster builders have said that there is no limit to how high a coaster could be built. Why couldn't a 400 ft coaster be safely built? That would be NOTHING compared to some structures mankind has built. Also, why would it be a mechanical headache any more so than other coasters?
Replacing wheel is no big deal. Many big coasters get wheels changed every day or 2.
