When was Vortex ( B&M standup) at PCW built? Was it one of their earlier ones. I think it may have been their first standup because its slightly rough. Not like B&M at all. ------------- Favorite Steel: Top Gun Favorite Wood: Hurler

From what I saw in rcdb, Vortex at PGA (1991) was their first stand-up and their second coaster. Iron Wolf (1990) at SFGA was the first. Batman the Ride opened at SFGA in 1992 was probably their third. Vortex at PCW is an Arrow. ----------------- Yeeee Haaawwww!
The abbreviation PCW both get mixed up between Paramount's Canada Wonderland and Parmount's Carrowinds. Paramount's Canada Wonderland's Vortex is an Arrow suspended roller coaster. Paramount's Carrowind's Vortex is a B&M Stand-Up.
Well, also as coasters get older, they become more and more rough. One day all thes B&M coasters that are so smooth will feel rougher than a woodie. ----------------- The SFMM Salvi: "Goliath Jr. looks to intense for me" "I want to go on something more exciting than X"
janfrederick: Iron Wolf is a stand-up. B&M's first coaster was a stand-up coaster. it is called Iron Wolf, located at Six Flags Great America just north of Chicago, and still in operation. ----------------- Knott's Berry Farm Cuba ~South Park
