What was B&m's first coaster???

kRaXLeRidAh, I think that would be because some people just read the initial post... Sad, isn't it? At least the first few posts in here build apon eachother, rather than repeat it.
-----------------
Hey, SFGAm management, can I buy a couple cages of Sky Whirl?
To defend my response being a repeat

kraxleridah went back and edited his post with more info after I had posted. He originally did not have all of that info my intentions at the time was to try to correct the fact that Vortex at Carowinds was a B&M but forgot to post that he made the mistake of abreviating it PCW. and that it was the third and BTR the fourth.

But several people after me and kraxlerider are still posting the same info.

Numba One Stunna: Viper is an Arrow coaster...

I wasn't trying to repeat anything, just give the first B&M for that specific category, ie: floorless, sitdown...sorry if anyone doesn't like that.

How could everyone forget about Z-Force. Designed by Walter & Claude but built by Intamin A.G. That was when the B&M 4 across design was born as well as the track gauge.

Maybe we were ( and still are) trying to forget it. :)

So many coasters - so little time.

I wanna be the 23rd person to Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois.  What about Batman: The Escape?  Back when they had a subsidiary with INTAMIN A.G. and Giovanola.  Oh yeah.  Could some one not mention Shockwave at Drayton Manor as a B&M.  Because it's not.  Just letting everyone know in case you don't.  I don't know why they contacted INTAMIN for the job.  I guess B&M was too expensive for them, or they wanted a heartline on a stand up and B&M just wouldn't deliver or offer it.  Peace.

P>Ahh, yes good old flashback.  Although you can tell B&M played some roll in designing the ride, Walter and Claude still worked for intamin at the time. Because they still worked for Intamin at the time, this ride is acredited to Intamin.

/BLOCKQUOTE>They never had a subsidiary with Intamin A.G or Giovanola.  They were engineers for Intamin A.G. and Giovanola was contracted to fabricate/construct Intamin rides (Example Flashback @ SFMM).

A few of you have said "so and so" B&M coaster is still in operation. Can anyone think of a B&M that isnt in operation anymore? I cant think of any.

I dont want to grow up, Im a Coasters-R-Us kid!!!!
Chitown, now why would anyone take a B&M out of operation?  J/k, I don't think any have, or even been moved, have they?  (Not counting Z-Force since not a "true" B&M).  Maybe it speaks to QUALITY, and as their rides age, they don't HAVE to get rougher.  Kumba had started to get as little bangy, they took it out of service for about two or three months last winter and Voila!, good as new (almost).

Yeah...I was just looking at pics of that today and noticed the B&M style track ! I guess there are a few "bad" (objectional, of course) B&M coasters. Unfortunately, I haven't ridden Z-Force/Flashback. I was still to young when it was at SFGAm.

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze

I for one have a vote for the first one to be removed or sold.  Vortex at PC.  At first, it was a decent ride.  Much better than the other stand-up I had ridden (King Cobra at PKI).  It's just rough now, and honestly, not that much fun.  Either replace it with a floorless or a hyper.  Or........

I say PC trades straight up for Drachenfire and let PC put new trains with decent restraints.  Drachenfire may not be all that great, but PC isn't afraid of the Arrow multilooper.  Look at Carolina Cyclone.  Still cranking after all these years.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

Isn't Dragon Kahn an earlier B&M built in Europe?
Dragon Kahn opened in 1995.
